E-examination Engine

 The E-Examination Engine (EEE) is a web based application for
conducting Online Exams.
 The system aims at reducing costs associated with conducting
exams and achieving total automation of examination system.
 The administrator of the EEE prepares the tests on behalf of
client Institutions and assigns faculties for creating questions
for that exam.
 EEE reduces the time consumption and workload that exist in
the current system of examination. It also facilities secure
storage and easier searching of records for each examination.

manual exams.
 Reducing paper work and providing secure preservation of
exam records.
 Making exams available for all students worldwide.
 Providing Institutions or Companies an easier and flexible way
to conduct exams.

OBJECTIVES

 It can be conducted for remote candidates and the evaluation of
answers can be fully automated for MCQ questions and other
essay type questions can be evaluated manually or through
automated system.
 Online examinations can be conducted at any time and does not
incur higher cost as traditional exam scenario as there is no
paper work involved.
 Online Exams provide a secure and easily manageable database
to store exam records, score cards, student details, question
papers etc.

TECHNOLOGIES USED TO CREATE EEE

o He is responsible for creating exams, on behalf of client
Institutions or Companies; that include subject selection,
exam duration, assigning faculties, question selection pattern
etc.
o He can update any table of database, but with every update
his unique ID will also be saved, which helps in identifying
the particular admin who has done the change (in case of two
or more admins).
o He authorizes each and every user registered on EEE. A user
can only login after the admin authorization.
ADMINISTRATOR

o He is responsible for creating and modifying questions of a
particular exam he is assigned for.
o He can create, view, modify or delete questions created by
him for an exam, but only before the last date of student
registration for that particular exam.
o A particular faulty cannot view the questions created by any
other faculty.
FACULTY

o After the registration, student will be stemmed with unique
ID by the EEE. He can log into the system with this unique ID
and his own created password.
o After successfully login, he moves to the instruction web page
where he will get instruction about the examination process
as well as his own details, or the result, if he has already
appeared in that particular exam.
STUDENT

 We can update its next version.
 A faster process for subjective paper evaluation.
 We can add Graphical Questions.
 Inclusion of questions having multiple correct options.
 Online payment.
FURTHER DEVELOPMENT SCOPES

 Current system provides only multiple choices but single
correct answer selection.
 Incase questions and answers need to be in graphics, current
system has no provision.
 There is no facility to conduct Descriptive exams.
 There is no facility of removing ‘Close Tab’ option from the
browser, during the exam.
 Since, it is a college project so there is no provision for
monetary transaction as it requires third party involvement.
LIMITATIONS

 E-Examination Engine provide companies or institutions a
complete solution to conduct exams to any number of
candidates at a time, in an automated manner.
 It reduces the time consumption and workload that exist in
the current system of examination.
 It facilitates secure storage and easier searching of records
for each examination.
