This document compares post-tensioned flat slabs to reinforced concrete (RCC) flat slabs in multi-story commercial buildings. It finds that post-tensioned flat slabs are more cost effective than RCC slabs. The document reviews literature on flat slab design and seismic behavior. Carbon fiber reinforce polymer (CFRP) strengthened steel structural members such as beams, columns and bridge decks have become progressively popular as a result of extensive studies in this field. This paper presents the recent developments in CFRP strengthened steel channel sections and proposed conceptual model for prediction of column strength under pure axial loads per Indian standards-IS801-1975 and Euro code 3(EC 3)standards . Eight cold-formed steel circular lipped channel section columns with externally bonded CFRP were tested under pure axial compression. IS801/EC3 proposed methods were compared with experimental results. The results show that the proposed method gives around 11 percent increase in strength due to CFRP.

Pre stressed concrete is used for long span bridges with a span of more than 10 m. Conventionally, when calculating bridges, the superstructure and substructure are analyzed separately. The superstructure is examined according to IRC 62014 and according to IRC 182000 for unconsidered gravitational loads and moving vehicle loads. Failure Analysis of Expansion Joints (Bellows)IRJET Journal
This document describes a failure analysis of expansion joints (bellows) used in ductwork. Expansion joints are designed to absorb thermal expansion and contraction of materials as well as vibrations. The failures of bellows in a particular duct system are investigated through finite element analysis and analytical calculations. A 3mm thick stainless steel bellow design failed, so modifications including increasing the thickness to 6mm and changing the material were analyzed. The stresses in the modified 6mm thick bellow design were found to be lower than in the original 3mm design based on FEA and analytical calculations. The objectives, scope, analytical calculations, FEA methodology and results are summarized. The conclusions determined the stresses developed are highest at the root and tangent lengths of the

The document presents a comparative study on the behavior of concrete filled double skin steel tube (CFDSST), concrete filled double skin steel aluminum tube (CFDSSAT), and concrete filled double skin steel PVC tube (CFDSSPT) columns with and without external steel rings. A series of axial compression tests were performed on 18 column specimens - 6 of each type. The results showed that the load carrying capacity and ductility of the CFDSST, CFDSSAT, and CFDSSPT specimens increased with the addition of external steel rings compared to those without rings. Of the three types, the CFDSSAT specimens exhibited the highest ultimate load values.

This research introduces a new simple, efficient, and practical procedure to design
the reinforced concrete (RC) circular slabs which have large diameters. The principal
idea of this paper concerns to use the isotropic perpendicular RC straight joists to
resist the external load. The yield-line theory was adapted to analysis the circular
waffle slabs. The steps of design were according to the ACI Code provisions. Fixed
and simply supported circular slabs were presented. Closed form equations have been
driven by author for the purposes of analysis and design this type of slabs by the
present procedure. Uniformly distributed load was considered, that represent almost
practical cases. Useful illustration example is presented in this study according to the
available materials in Iraq to facilitate the job of designers. The good performance of
RC circular slab which design by the present procedure proved clearly the efficiency
of this technique.

This paper compares the seismic analysis of a G+11 square building and L-shaped building using time history analysis in ETAB 17.01 software. Different types of bracing systems are used, including X, V, inverted V, and diagonal bracing. The response of the buildings is compared in terms of displacement, base shear, and pseudo acceleration to determine which type of building and bracing system provides the minimum response. The L-shaped building with X bracing is found to have the minimum displacement, while the square building with X bracing has the minimum base shear and pseudo acceleration.
IRJET- An Experimental Investigation of steel Concrete Composite Deck SlabIRJET Journal
This document presents the results of an experimental investigation into steel-concrete composite deck slabs. Three slabs of varying dimensions were constructed with trapezoidal profile steel sheets and concrete. Shear connectors were used to improve the bond between the steel and concrete. Flexural tests were performed by applying loads to the slabs and measuring deflections. The test results showed that Slab 3, which had the largest profile sheet dimensions, exhibited the highest strength as evidenced by its ability to withstand the greatest loads without failure and having deflections comparable to the other slabs at higher loads. In conclusion, composite deck slabs constructed with trapezoidal profile steel sheets and shear connectors can achieve adequate strength and stiffness for building applications.

This document describes a failure analysis of expansion joints (bellows) used in ductwork. Expansion joints are designed to absorb thermal expansion and contraction of materials as well as vibrations. The failures of bellows in a particular duct system are investigated through finite element analysis and analytical calculations. A 3mm thick stainless steel bellow design failed, so modifications including increasing the thickness to 6mm and changing the material were analyzed. The stresses in the modified 6mm thick bellow design were found to be lower than in the original 3mm design based on FEA and analytical calculations. This research introduces a new simple, efficient, and practical procedure to design
the reinforced concrete (RC) circular slabs which have large diameters. The principal
idea of this paper concerns to use the isotropic perpendicular RC straight joists to
resist the external load. The yield-line theory was adapted to analysis the circular
waffle slabs. The steps of design were according to the ACI Code provisions. Fixed
and simply supported circular slabs were presented. Closed form equations have been
driven by author for the purposes of analysis and design this type of slabs by the
present procedure. Uniformly distributed load was considered, that represent almost
practical cases. Useful illustration example is presented in this study according to the
available materials in Iraq to facilitate the job of designers. The good performance of
RC circular slab which design by the present procedure proved clearly the efficiency
of this technique.

This study examines the effect of response reduction factors (R factors) on reinforced concrete (RC) framed structures through nonlinear dynamic analysis. Three RC frame models with varying heights (4, 8, and 12 stories) were analyzed in ETABS software under different R factors ranging from 1 to 5. The results showed that displacement increased as the R factor decreased, indicating less linear behavior for lower R factors. The Network on Chip (NoC) has emerged as an effective
solution for intercommunication infrastructure within System on
Chip (SoC) designs, overcoming the limitations of traditional
methods that face significant bottlenecks. However, the complexity
of NoC design presents numerous challenges related to
performance metrics such as scalability, latency, power
consumption, and signal integrity. This project addresses the
issues within the router's memory unit and proposes an enhanced
memory structure. To achieve efficient data transfer, FIFO buffers
are implemented in distributed RAM and virtual channels for
FPGA-based NoC. The project introduces advanced FIFO-based
memory units within the NoC router, assessing their performance
in a Bi-directional NoC (Bi-NoC) configuration. The primary
objective is to reduce the router's workload while enhancing the
FIFO internal structure. To further improve data transfer speed,
a Bi-NoC with a self-configurable intercommunication channel is
suggested. Simulation and synthesis results demonstrate
guaranteed throughput, predictable latency, and equitable
network access, showing significant improvement over previous
designs

Abstract
Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) helps to overcome various difficulties in future technology wireless communications. NOMA, when utilized with millimeter wave multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, channel estimation becomes extremely difficult. For reaping the benefits of the NOMA and mm-Wave combination, effective channel estimation is required. In this paper, we propose an enhanced particle swarm optimization based long short-term memory estimator network (PSOLSTMEstNet), which is a neural network model that can be employed to forecast the bandwidth required in the mm-Wave MIMO network. The prime advantage of the LSTM is that it has the capability of dynamically adapting to the functioning pattern of fluctuating channel state. The LSTM stage with adaptive coding and modulation enhances the BER.PSO algorithm is employed to optimize input weights of LSTM network. The modified algorithm splits the power by channel condition of every single user. Participants will be first sorted into distinct groups depending upon respective channel conditions, using a hybrid beamforming approach. The network characteristics are fine-estimated using PSO-LSTMEstNet after a rough approximation of channels parameters derived from the received data.
