This document discusses network architecture and design. It covers component architectures, addressing and routing architectures, network management architecture, performance architecture, and security architecture. Some key points include:
- Component architecture describes how network functions are applied using hardware and software mechanisms.
- Addressing involves applying identifiers to network devices, while routing learns connectivity and forwards packets. Common addressing mechanisms include subnetting, super-netting, dynamic addressing, and private/public addressing.
- Network management architecture provides functions for controlling, planning, and monitoring network resources using mechanisms like monitoring, instrumentation, and configuration.
- Performance architecture allocates network resources to users and applications using mechanisms like quality of service, resource control, service level agreements, and policies.
This document provides a summary of a presentation on CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate). It includes:
1. An introduction to CCNA, which stands for Cisco Certified Network Associate and provides information about networking, its types and applications. Networking is important for communication and resource sharing.
2. Descriptions of different types of networking including LAN, MAN, and WAN. It also lists common networking devices like LAN cards, bridges, hubs, switches, and routers.
3. Overviews of topics covered in CCNA including subnetting, supernetting, Classless Interdomain Routing (CIDR), the differences between hubs and switches, what routers are used for,
The document discusses wireless sensor network challenges and solutions developed as part of the DEUS project. It aims to develop solutions that support heterogeneity, flexibility, and varying device capabilities. A modular sensor node architecture called IDRA is developed to deploy complex applications on resource-constrained sensors. A new MAC protocol called FlexMAC provides an adaptive L2 protocol for different devices and applications. A hybrid routing protocol called HYDRO combines centralized and distributed routing and uses IPv6 addressing. Enhancements are made to support quality of service for applications like voice calls.
1. Serial0 is up but the line protocol is down, indicating a potential issue with the cable or configuration settings not matching on both ends.
2. Static IP addresses are manually assigned while dynamic IP addresses are assigned by a DHCP server from its IP range, and have a lease duration after which the address may change.
3. Protocols establish rules and standards for moving data across a network, such as routing protocols like RIP, IGRP, and EIGRP that determine the best path between networks.
Routers and switches are networking devices that allow computers and other devices to connect to each other and form networks. While routers connect separate logical networks and operate at the network layer, switches operate at the data link layer and connect devices within a single local area network by forwarding data frames. The functions of routers and switches differ, with routers directing traffic between networks and switches allowing many devices to share a connection and increasing network bandwidth.
1. Today, an internet can be so large that one routing protocol cannot handle the task of updating the routing tables of all routers. For this reason, an internet is divided into autonomous systems.
2. An autonomous system (AS) is a group of networks and routers under the authority of a single administration. Routing inside an autonomous system is called intra-domain routing. Routing between autonomous systems is called inter-domain routing.
3. Popular intra-domain routing protocols include RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, and OSPF. The Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is an example of an exterior gateway protocol used for inter-domain routing between autonomous systems.
1. Enable the OSPF routing process with a process ID. This groups related OSPF commands.
2. Configure OSPF areas. Areas organize groups of networks/links in the OSPF domain.
3. Associate networks with their corresponding areas using the network command. This establishes OSPF neighbor relationships between routers on the network.
ccna project on topic company infrastructurePrince Gautam
Prince Gautam submitted a presentation on CCNA that introduces CCNA and networking. It defines CCNA, describes the importance of networking for communication and resource sharing. It also summarizes different types of networking including LAN, MAN, WAN and common networking devices like hubs, switches, routers. The presentation further explains concepts like subnetting, supernetting, routing protocols like RIP, EIGRP, OSPF and basic router configuration.
This document summarizes the physical and data link layers that TCP/IP relies on. It describes how TCP/IP services are controlled by daemons like inetd. It then discusses the physical layer and different networking components like repeaters, bridges, switches, and routers. The rest of the document focuses on the data link layer, covering topics like data addressing, flow control, data integrity, frames, and common protocols like Ethernet, Token Ring, Serial Protocols, SLIP, and PPP.
A router is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer networks. It has multiple network interfaces and uses information in routing tables to determine the best path to direct each packet. As a packet comes in one of its lines, the router reads the address and uses its routing information to determine the next network. This allows it to effectively direct traffic through multiple interconnected networks until packets reach their destination. Router technology has evolved alongside increases in network bandwidth, allowing networks to expand while also driving down costs over time.
The document summarizes the key aspects of ZigBee, a wireless networking standard targeted for low-power devices. It describes ZigBee's technical goals of low data rates, long battery life, and secure networking. It also outlines ZigBee's device types, network formation process, and traffic modes including beacon-enabled and non-beacon modes.
This document provides an overview of various networking concepts including:
- Types of networks like LAN, MAN, and WAN
- Networking devices like hubs, switches, routers, and their functions
- Network addressing concepts like subnetting, supernetting, and CIDR
- Dynamic routing protocols like RIP and EIGRP
- Router configuration including accessing modes and deleting configurations
- VLAN concepts and how devices on different VLANs require a router to communicate
Inter-networking allows computers on different networks to communicate via gateways. Routers and bridges connect different network segments and allow communication between computers on different segments. Routers use destination IP addresses to pass data packets between networks, while bridges maintain a table of addresses to reduce traffic by only forwarding packets with valid destinations. A subnet mask is used to determine if an IP address is local or remote, and routable addresses can be reached by anyone on the internet while non-routable addresses are reserved for internal networks.
Basic Introduction to Technology (networking).pdftthind

Decolonizing Universal Design for LearningFrederic Fovet
UDL has gained in popularity over the last decade both in the K-12 and the post-secondary sectors. The usefulness of UDL to create inclusive learning experiences for the full array of diverse learners has been well documented in the literature, and there is now increasing scholarship examining the process of integrating UDL strategically across organisations. One concern, however, remains under-reported and under-researched. Much of the scholarship on UDL ironically remains while and Eurocentric. Even if UDL, as a discourse, considers the decolonization of the curriculum, it is abundantly clear that the research and advocacy related to UDL originates almost exclusively from the Global North and from a Euro-Caucasian authorship. It is argued that it is high time for the way UDL has been monopolized by Global North scholars and practitioners to be challenged. Voices discussing and framing UDL, from the Global South and Indigenous communities, must be amplified and showcased in order to rectify this glaring imbalance and contradiction.
This session represents an opportunity for the author to reflect on a volume he has just finished editing entitled Decolonizing UDL and to highlight and share insights into the key innovations, promising practices, and calls for change, originating from the Global South and Indigenous Communities, that have woven the canvas of this book. The session seeks to create a space for critical dialogue, for the challenging of existing power dynamics within the UDL scholarship, and for the emergence of transformative voices from underrepresented communities. The workshop will use the UDL principles scrupulously to engage participants in diverse ways (challenging single story approaches to the narrative that surrounds UDL implementation) , as well as offer multiple means of action and expression for them to gain ownership over the key themes and concerns of the session (by encouraging a broad range of interventions, contributions, and stances).

-Students will be able to discuss what constitutes reliable sources on the internet. They will learn to identify key characteristics of trustworthy information, such as credibility, accuracy, and authority. By examining different types of online sources, students will develop skills to evaluate the reliability of websites and content, ensuring they can distinguish between reputable information and misinformation.
8+8+8 Rule Of Time Management For Better ProductivityRuchiRathor2
This is a great way to be more productive but a few things to
Keep in mind:
- The 8+8+8 rule offers a general guideline. You may need to adjust the schedule depending on your individual needs and commitments.
- Some days may require more work or less sleep, demanding flexibility in your approach.
- The key is to be mindful of your time allocation and strive for a healthy balance across the three categories.

19. ACLs are lists of conditions that are applied to
traffic traveling across a router's interface. These
lists tell the router what types of packets to accept
or deny. Acceptance and denial can be based on
specified conditions.
ACLs can be configured at the router to control
access to a network or subnet.
ACLs must be defined on a per-protocol, per
direction, or per port basis.
There are three types of ACLs
1. Standard
2. Extended
3. Named
20. 1. Limit network traffic and increase network performance.
2. Provide traffic flow control.
3. Provide a basic level of security for network access.
4. Decide which types of traffic are forwarded or blocked at the
router interfaces. For example: Permit e-mail traffic to be routed, but
block all telnet traffic.
5. Allow an administrator to control what areas a client can access on
a network.
6. If ACLs are not configured on the router, all packets passing through
the router will be allowed onto all parts of the network.

26. A network switch is a small hardware device that joins
multiple computers together within one Local Area
Network(LAN). Technically switches operate at Data-link
Layer. These are almost like HUBS. But unlike HUBS
network switches are capable of inspecting data as it is
recieved, determining the source and destination device
of each packet, and forwarding them appropriately.
27. VLAN provides Virtual Segmentation of Broadcast Domain in
the network. The devices, which are member of same Vlan,
are able to communicate with each other.
The devices of different Vlan may communicate with each
other with routing called Inter Vlan Communication.
28. With the help of VTP, we can simplify the process of creating
Vlan. In multiple switches, we can configure one switch as VTP
server and all other switches will be configured as VTP client.
We will create Vlans on VTP server switch.
