Zakariya and Yahya were prophets sent to the Children of Israel. Zakariya was a priest who prayed for a son despite his old age, and God granted him Yahya. Yahya carried out his prophetic mission of spreading God's message and commands of worship, prayer, fasting, charity and remembrance. However, he was unjustly killed by a tyrannical ruler for refusing to approve of an unlawful marriage. Both prophets were devoted servants of God until their martyrdom.

Moses was keeping sheep in the wilderness when he saw a burning bush that was not consumed. God called out to Moses from the bush and told him to remove his sandals as he was standing on holy ground. God told Moses that he had heard the cries of the Israelites suffering under Egyptian rule and that he was sending Moses to Pharaoh to demand that the Israelites be set free. Moses questioned how the Israelites would believe that God had sent him, so God told Moses his name was "I Am" and that the Israelites should be told "I Am" has sent Moses.

The representative men of the bible vol. 2GLENN PEASE
This passage discusses the figure of Samuel in the "Great Gallery" of representative biblical men. It argues that religion progresses from the ideal to the actual and from transcendent to immanent. Samuel represents the climax of this progression, as God communicates directly with a child. Samuel's appearance as a prophet startled Israel and showed that spiritual inspiration could come from the least expected places. His story teaches that one must have the openness and wonder of a child to truly see God and understand scripture.
This document provides an overview of the problems facing modern society, including confusion over values, increased crime and social issues, and a lack of spiritual fulfillment. It suggests that the root cause is a loss of religious faith and fixed principles to guide behavior. Without faith, people and societies lose a sense of direction and moral accountability. Materialism and unrestrained freedom have failed to solve these issues or fill the inner emptiness that faith once addressed.

The document discusses the Quran and miracles. It begins by defining what constitutes a miracle and explains that greater impossibilities are considered greater miracles. It then notes that prophets throughout history, including Jesus and Muhammad, were asked to provide miracles to prove their message, though Jesus indicated that the only sign given would be "the sign of Jonah." Al Quran The Miracle Of Miracles (Ahmed Deedat)zakir2012
The document discusses the Quran as a miracle and provides evidence for its divine authorship. It notes that when prophets in the past like Jesus were sent by God, people demanded miracles from them to prove their message. Similarly, when Muhammad proclaimed his message, the pagans of Mecca demanded miracles. The document argues that the Quran itself is the greatest miracle due to its poetic nature, consistency of message over 23 years, and the fact that Muhammad was illiterate and could not have authored it himself. It refutes claims that he copied from other religious texts due to translations not existing in Arabic during his time.

5.3. Mandukya Upanishad
The Mandukya Upanishad (the four states of consciousness)
The Mandukya Upanishad belongs to the Atharvaveda. Although it contains only 12 verses.
This Upanishad became the basis for the emergence of the Advaita Vedanta or the philosophy of monism, according to which Brahman alone is the truth and the rest is an illusion.
The Upanishad deals with the symbolic significance of the sacred syllable Aum and its correlation with the four states of consciousness, namely the wakeful consciousness, dream state, the state of deep sleep or dreamless sleep and the state of transcendental consciousness in which all divisions and duality disappears and the self alone exists in its pure state, all by itself.
1. Wakefulness—Jagrat (Vaisvanara is the first stage - A) Consciousness
In this state, atman (the Supreme Self) is mainly mis-identified with annamaya kosha (the “sheath composed of food”—the physical body).
Thus, the jiva (soul) travels in objectivity and becomes an object itself, mostly ignoring its subjective consciousness.

if you find no one therein, still, enter not until permission has been

you. And Allaah is All-Knower of what you do." [QUR'AAN 24:27-

45. Some parents do not know that their children have
in their possession bad pictures,
pornographic movies and even drugs.
Their daughter goes with the (female) servant to the market,
then asks the servant to wait with the driver whilst
she goes to her appointment or “date” with one of
the Shayaateen (devils), or to smoke and mess about
with her bad friends.

children and making them feel that their
every move is being watched.
Important points to note
WISD M www.wisdomislam.org | facebook.com/wisdomislamicmissionGLOBAL ISLAMIC MISSION
47. Paying attention to children at home.
• Teaching them to memorize the Qur’an and Islamic stories.
• There is nothing more beautiful than a father and his children
coming together to read Qur'aan with a simple
commentary, offering rewards for memorizing passages.
• Young children have memorized Chapter al- Kahf
from hearing it recited repeatedly by their fathers
every Friday.
17
WISD M www.wisdomislam.org | facebook.com/wisdomislamicmissionGLOBAL ISLAMIC MISSION
48. Teach children
• Biography of Muhammad (ﷺ)
• Stories of righteous people
• Story of the people of al-Ukhdood (the ditch)
• Story of the people of the garden in Chapter al-Qalam
We have no need of the many stories that go
against ‘Aqeedah, or frightening myths that
distort children’s concept of reality and make
them cowardly and afraid
WISD M www.wisdomislam.org | facebook.com/wisdomislamicmissionGLOBAL ISLAMIC MISSION
49. • Beware of letting your children go out with
just anybody
• Be selective when choosing children of
relatives and neighbors to invite to come and
play with your children at home
• Make sure that your children’s play is both
entertaining and purposeful

hobbies such as carpentry, electronics and
mechanics, or play some permissible computer
games.

sleeping arrangements

children and pat their heads; he would speak
to them in a kind and gentle manner, giving the
littlest one the first fruit, and even letting them
ride on his back sometimes
