This document discusses the use of information technology in Malaysia's governance sector. It provides examples of two government websites, the Lembaga Pembiayaan Perumahan Sektor Awam (LPPSA) and Jabatan Akauntan Negara Malaysia (JANM), that have implemented IT solutions. The use of IT in the governance sector provides advantages like improved efficiency, productivity and access to services. However, it also poses challenges as not all government employees have strong IT skills and some services still require direct interaction. Expert systems, decision support systems, and transaction processing systems have been developed on these websites to better serve users.
