1) The document discusses strategies for making engineering students placement ready. It outlines four approaches - conducting faculty development programs on projects, promoting industry collaboration through problem-solving initiatives, establishing research-based master's programs, and developing specific skills in students.
2) A key strategy is to involve students from the first year in long-term projects with industry mentors and publishing papers to improve skills. Industry is encouraged to provide problems and funding while students gain experience.
3) A proposed "Innovate" portal would facilitate collaboration between industry and academics on practical problems. Industry involvement could reduce training costs through co-developed resources.

There a lot of factors working behind when an individual goes for engineering. Some of the students have their dream from childhood to become a quality engineer in the future. They make the study plan accordingly, pass the joint entrance, and get admission to the relevant college. Whereas, some tend to go for the program only because they think it is prestigious!
Even some students are of the belief that not going for engineering or medical after reading science in the twelfth standard is a mismatch!
This approach to education is completely wrong. One should always go for a course they intend to. Moreover, the focus must stay on the brand and not on the College. After the outbreak of COVID 19 Higher education challenges and responses are ample in 2020 due to the major losses. One must be careful while choosing the right engineering college for them. Also, the students must be sure that they really want to take up this program.

Sri Guru Hargobind Ji - Bandi Chor Guru.pdfBalvir Singh
Sri Guru Hargobind Ji (19 June 1595 - 3 March 1644) is revered as the Sixth Nanak.
• On 25 May 1606 Guru Arjan nominated his son Sri Hargobind Ji as his successor. Shortly
afterwards, Guru Arjan was arrested, tortured and killed by order of the Mogul Emperor
Jahangir.
• Guru Hargobind's succession ceremony took place on 24 June 1606. He was barely
eleven years old when he became 6th Guru.
• As ordered by Guru Arjan Dev Ji, he put on two swords, one indicated his spiritual
authority (PIRI) and the other, his temporal authority (MIRI). He thus for the first time
initiated military tradition in the Sikh faith to resist religious persecution, protect
people’s freedom and independence to practice religion by choice. He transformed
Sikhs to be Saints and Soldier.
• He had a long tenure as Guru, lasting 37 years, 9 months and 3 days

A high-Speed Communication System is based on the Design of a Bi-NoC Router, ...DharmaBanothu
The Network on Chip (NoC) has emerged as an effective
solution for intercommunication infrastructure within System on
Chip (SoC) designs, overcoming the limitations of traditional
methods that face significant bottlenecks. However, the complexity
of NoC design presents numerous challenges related to
performance metrics such as scalability, latency, power
consumption, and signal integrity. This project addresses the
issues within the router's memory unit and proposes an enhanced
memory structure. To achieve efficient data transfer, FIFO buffers
are implemented in distributed RAM and virtual channels for
FPGA-based NoC. The project introduces advanced FIFO-based
memory units within the NoC router, assessing their performance
in a Bi-directional NoC (Bi-NoC) configuration. The primary
objective is to reduce the router's workload while enhancing the
FIFO internal structure. To further improve data transfer speed,
a Bi-NoC with a self-configurable intercommunication channel is
suggested. Simulation and synthesis results demonstrate
guaranteed throughput, predictable latency, and equitable
network access, showing significant improvement over previous
designs

The core idea of this project to minimize the paper work and centralize the
data. Here all the communication is taken in secure manner. That is, in this
application the information will be stored in client itself. For further security the
data base is stored in the back-end oracle and so no intruders can access it.

WHAT IS
COMPUTATIONAL ENGINEERING ?
In Simple Terms - It is an Interdisciplinary branch involving
application of computational methods in Engineering.
WHY WAS THIS
BRANCH INTRODUCED ?
Industry Requested IIT Hyderabad for students who knew
Coding/Computational Methods as well as Core Engineering.
4. Page 04
WHY SHOULD YOU PICK IITH
COMPUTATIONAL ENGINEERING ( OVER COMPETITORS )?
It opens up career avenues in CS, Core Engineering, Interdisciplinary Jobs.
You can choose what you want to get into.
1.
Interdisciplinary Fields are very much always needed and will be in demand
in the future as well
2.
IIT Hyderabad is already the best 2nd gen IIT and is growing at a fast rate
hence holding the potential to provide immense opportunities.
3.
Electrical Engineering ( The branch one will be getting in similar IITs ) is
considered as a very tough course and you may find it hard if you are not
interested in it and also it is easier to get into CS roles from Computational
Engineering.

CURRICULUM DESIGN
The course basically involves Math courses, Core Engineering Courses, Application of Computing
Methods in Core engineering courses. The Core Engineering Courses are Primarily from the field of
Mechanical and Biology.
It is Basically designed as a mixture of CS+Mechanical+BioTech+Material Science+Computational
Methods+ Few Other Courses
Comptational Engineering is basically application of Mathematical Framework.
16. SOME NOTES
All the courses involved in the course have been mentioned. Look into it well before
taking any decision.
1.
Computational Engineering Students are allowed to sit for the placements of all the
companies.
2.
A good number of Mechanical and Biological Courses are involved.
3.
Computational Engineering is INTERDISCIPLINARY, be prepared for it.
4.
Page 16
17. This Branch, having been started in 2021, does not have placement statistics.
Excellent Internship Statistics are available though
Internship Statistics of 2021 Branch:
70% Students got an internship -> Highest (by a huge margin) in any branch in the 2023 year.
Google, KLA, DE Shaw, Oracle, Thomson Reuters -> Some of the Internship Companies.
Other PORs Data:
Students from Computational Engineering are even active in other roles in the Institute:
General Secretary, Inter-IIT Culturals, Inter-IIT Sports, Shuffle Crew, Finance and Consulting Club,

FACTORS TO BE
CONSIDERED
The Branch is VERY different from CSE ( Read
Course Curriculum for both in detail )
1.
Branch Strength is very low ( Has its Cons and
Advantages )
2.
High Strength of South Indians in the Institute.
3.
Campus is located far from the city.
4.
Lot of Development has occurred especially over
the last 2 years and a lot of new facilities are now
available.
5.
There is a lot of scope for this branch with respect
to research or jobs ( It opens up a lot of avenues )
6.
IITH is THE BEST 2nd gen IIT by a large margin.
7.
Self Analyse the implications of the mentioned
factors and/or ask some seniors about it.
