Agile Project Management for Nonprofits501 Commons
Are you looking for ways to remove dysfunctions, waste, and inefficiencies in your non-profit organization? Whether it is a technology or a non-technology project for non-profits, this quick introduction to “Agile” – a modern project management approach can help you get more done more efficiently with full engagement of your team and stakeholders.
In this workshop you will learn how Agile has caused tremendous disruption and innovation in today’s networked global economy and what are the future possibilities. You will specifically learn how to adopt Agile practices to do twice more in less than half the time at your non-profit organization. Agile practices are aimed at responding to changing organizational demands by reducing waste, incorporating program improvements more quickly, and working collaboratively.
Agile is a mindset and it requires a mind shift from individual performance to team progress. It emphasizes the ability to adapt to changes and provide organizations the framework to adapt in a predictable way with a minimal amount of waste, such as from over planning. In Agile, teams incorporate frequent feedback, from both internal and external stakeholders, and work in short iterations, with the goal always to get something viable in front of an individual for feedback. Everyone works as one team to get work done.
Specifically, participants will learn the benefits of Agile, how to become Agile, the role of a team in a scrum environment, and an overview of scrum roles.
At Spark The Change, a conference in Paris, focused on innovation and changing the world, I shared my view on the State of Digital Identity. Being the CTO of a company like Dashlane gives me a special insight and view on the topic, which I'm excited to share.

What Giving Tuesday Data is Telling Us About Effective FundraisingTechSoup
GivingTuesday data is providing insights into effective fundraising. It shows that GivingTuesday generates a donation lift and annual increase without a corresponding drop, indicating donor fatigue is a myth. Younger donors are strongly engaged with GivingTuesday and have favorable attitudes toward nonprofits. Data also suggests that organizations that set measurable goals for their GivingTuesday campaigns report greater success and meeting or exceeding expectations.

This document summarizes a presentation by TechSoup Canada about their nonprofit technology donations program. TechSoup Canada's mission is to help nonprofits use technology more affordably and effectively. They provide a global network of donations including over $3.9 billion in donated technology. Their program allows Canadian nonprofits to request discounted or free software from major brands like Microsoft, Adobe, and Symantec. The presentation provides an overview of the registration process and eligibility for the program, and offers tips on maximizing donations within allotments and license restrictions. A variety of uses for the donated software for functions like data analysis, design, security, finance, and collaboration are discussed.
This document discusses various blogs related to different topics. It provides examples of technology, business, and entertainment blogs and describes what each blog covers. It also discusses tools for collective intelligence like spreadsheets, notes applications, and cloud storage and how they can be used for collaboration. Finally, it talks about social media platforms like LinkedIn and how professionals can utilize different features to boost their digital presence and career.
Virtual volunteering allows busy professionals to help charitable causes in their own time through online tasks. Helply is a platform connecting volunteers with skills in areas like writing, design, and finance to projects by charities that reduce operating costs and expand networks. Individuals complete volunteer work online and share through social media, while charities design projects and supervise volunteers remotely. This increases engagement for volunteers and impact for charities at a lower cost than traditional fundraising.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized the creation of images and videos, enabling the generation of highly realistic and imaginative visual content. Utilizing advanced techniques like Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and neural style transfer, AI can transform simple sketches into detailed artwork or blend various styles into unique visual masterpieces. GANs, in particular, function by pitting two neural networks against each other, resulting in the production of remarkably lifelike images. AI's ability to analyze and learn from vast datasets allows it to create visuals that not only mimic human creativity but also push the boundaries of artistic expression, making it a powerful tool in digital media and entertainment industries.

Decolonizing Universal Design for LearningFrederic Fovet
UDL has gained in popularity over the last decade both in the K-12 and the post-secondary sectors. The usefulness of UDL to create inclusive learning experiences for the full array of diverse learners has been well documented in the literature, and there is now increasing scholarship examining the process of integrating UDL strategically across organisations. One concern, however, remains under-reported and under-researched. Much of the scholarship on UDL ironically remains while and Eurocentric. Even if UDL, as a discourse, considers the decolonization of the curriculum, it is abundantly clear that the research and advocacy related to UDL originates almost exclusively from the Global North and from a Euro-Caucasian authorship. It is argued that it is high time for the way UDL has been monopolized by Global North scholars and practitioners to be challenged. Voices discussing and framing UDL, from the Global South and Indigenous communities, must be amplified and showcased in order to rectify this glaring imbalance and contradiction.
This session represents an opportunity for the author to reflect on a volume he has just finished editing entitled Decolonizing UDL and to highlight and share insights into the key innovations, promising practices, and calls for change, originating from the Global South and Indigenous Communities, that have woven the canvas of this book. The session seeks to create a space for critical dialogue, for the challenging of existing power dynamics within the UDL scholarship, and for the emergence of transformative voices from underrepresented communities. The workshop will use the UDL principles scrupulously to engage participants in diverse ways (challenging single story approaches to the narrative that surrounds UDL implementation) , as well as offer multiple means of action and expression for them to gain ownership over the key themes and concerns of the session (by encouraging a broad range of interventions, contributions, and stances).

16. JourneyEd.com
One in the latest of new partnerships,
TechSoup is working with
JourneyEd.com to bring educational
discounts to the nonprofits we serve.
For the first time US nonprofits are
able to benefit from educational
savings. Some are over 80% off retail,
but others are much lower. Since
TechSoup does not maintain these
business relationships, we do not
control the available discounts.
We advise users to shop intelligently
and compare so they are benefitting
from the best savings possible.
18. DigitalWish
About Digital Wish
Digital Wish believes that every
child deserves a technology-
rich education giving them with
the skills necessary to excel in
the global economy.
Dedicated to providing the
resources our schools need to
thrive, every day, Digital Wish
develops new online tools and
promotions to get new
technology for classrooms and
enhance learning for our
children.
19. National and International Manufacturing Associations
While not a centralized resource.
Manufacturing associations cannot
be overlooked. As an example you
can use the Toy Manufacturers
Association (and the Toy Industry
Foundation) as well as the National
Realtors Association, and the
Nonwoven Fabrics Industry.
These are just a few examples of in
kind products and donations that
nonprofits can use to either off set a
general operating budget (new file
cabinets, cleaning supplies for a
shelter, etc. etc.) or for a special
project and more.
