A task force of 18 influenza experts published a summary of their findings on a one-health approach to influenza in the CDC's Emerging Infectious Diseases journal. The task force recommends improving vaccines and production capacity, expanding surveillance of influenza viruses in humans, livestock, pets and wildlife, improving early detection in humans and animals, developing tools to interrupt transmission, and applying developments in molecular biology.
