This is my college final field work report about online cab booking system. In this online cab booking how it works and some suggestions , analysis about cab booking . All information is in the report. ..
Thank you..
This is a project documentation titled: Online Railway Reservation System.
This documentation was submitted by me as my assignment in my 6th sem (2013) in APIIT SD INDIA, Panipat along with a full-fledged working system i.e., a website built using ASP.NET & SQL SERVER 2008
This document describes an online car rental system that allows customers to view vehicle listings, make bookings, and update their profiles, and allows administrators to manage vehicles, bookings, users, and other functions through a backend module. It provides advantages like convenience, standardization, and 24/7 accessibility compared to traditional systems. It also outlines some technical requirements and features like automation, customization, and improved efficiency. The goal is to create a user-friendly web application for customers to access across different devices and that allows administrators to easily manage the rental operations.
The document describes a proposed food ordering system that would help restaurants manage their operations more efficiently. It discusses issues with current manual systems, such as mistakes and inability to track important metrics. The proposed system would allow restaurants to store records like orders, staff schedules, expenses and feedback electronically. This would help management oversee the kitchen, floor and counter simultaneously. It would also reduce manual work and improve accuracy of record keeping. The system would be built as a web application using technologies like PHP, MySQL and XAMPP to allow electronic ordering and management of restaurant functions.
Client wants to build a mobile application similar to existing Android App of VU Cabs with delightful booking experience for customers like - Easy Onboarding, Quick Bookings, Real Time Updates, Seamless Payments, Security & Ratings.
This document provides an overview of an airline reservation system project developed by students at Amrapali Group of Institute, Haldwani, India in 2017. The system allows users to view flight schedules, fares, make reservations and print tickets. It was created using PHP, CSS, HTML, JavaScript and a MySQL database to automate and simplify the booking process. The project aims to develop a user-friendly interface so anyone can book flights without computer experience. It follows a distributed client-server architecture and stores data centrally for access by users and administrators who can modify flight details. The system was tested to ensure security, reliability and adherence to database normalization standards.

Dynamic Real time taxi ride-sharing android Application IRJET Journal
This document describes a mobile app-based system for real-time taxi ride sharing. The system uses GPS and spatial databases to match riders and drivers. Riders submit ride requests through the app, and the system searches for nearby taxis to fulfill the request based on travel distance and schedules. If a driver agrees to pick up the rider, the fare is divided between passengers. The system architecture includes mobile apps for drivers and riders, web services to store and access user and ride data, and spatial databases to track locations. The taxi searching algorithm uses a spatio-temporal index of grid cells to efficiently find candidate taxis near a rider's location.

This is a web based platform for rent vehicles which is mainly intended for tourism purposes. It’s a solution for finding rental vehicles in urban as well as rural areas. The website act as interactive platform to connect various vehicle rental services with the customers in need. Customers and rental services will be at the opposite ends of the platform. We use .NET and MSSQL at the front end and back end respectively.
This document presents a project proposal for developing a mobile application for car rental. It discusses problems with existing manual car rental systems, and proposes the goals and objectives of developing a mobile app to allow customers to book vehicles online anytime. It provides an overview of the technical implementation including using Android studio and Firebase backend. It presents block diagrams, user flows, and discusses technical aspects and expected outcomes of the project. The conclusion discusses how this web-based system could help overcome limitations of existing small car rental companies.
This document discusses a proposed smart city taxi ridesharing system. It aims to efficiently match taxi riders and drivers for shared rides, while minimizing increased travel distances and costs for all parties. The system uses an app to receive real-time ride requests from passengers and schedule taxis. It searches for taxis that can pick up new passengers with minimal additional travel distance, while respecting time constraints and ensuring passengers and drivers are fairly compensated. The system was tested using real taxi trip data and demonstrated efficiency and scalability. It is estimated to increase taxi occupancy rates and reduce travel distances compared to no ridesharing. Challenges include defining fair pricing models and addressing high demand scenarios.
Research paper review on car pooling using android operating system a step t...Akshay Shelake
The document describes a carpooling application designed for the Android operating system. The application aims to address security issues with previous systems by allowing users to rate and comment on drivers and passengers. It uses a central MySQL database connected to a PHP server to store user information and match drivers with passengers. It concludes by outlining some key points of the proposed bike sharing app, such as helping reduce air pollution, offering centralized payment like Ola/Uber, and taking advantage of the large number of bikes in Pune.
IRJET- To Check Feasibility of ERP (Electronic Road Pricing) System at C ...IRJET Journal
This document discusses assessing the feasibility of implementing an Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) system on CG Road in Ahmedabad, India to reduce traffic congestion. Traffic volume was counted at four intersections along CG Road during morning and evening rush hours. Based on the counts and a questionnaire survey of 50 road users, the study found that ERP gantries could be placed at two intersections. The survey also determined proposed pricing rates for vehicles. The study concluded that ERP on CG Road could reduce traffic by 63.63% by encouraging alternative routes and public transportation use. ERP was deemed a feasible solution to manage traffic on the congested urban road.

5. {Online cab Booking System}
This project is being considered in order to reduce and eliminate loss of
customers to competitors, and save the company from folding up. The current
system is manual and it is time consuming. It is also cost ineffective, and average
return is low and diminishing. Currently, customers can call or walk-in in order to
rent or reserve a vehicle. The staff of the company will check their file to see which
vehicle is available for rental. The current system is error prone and customers are
dissatisfied. The goal of this project is to automate vehicle rental and reservation so
that customers do not need to walk-in or call in order to reserve a vehicle.
They can go online and reserve any kind of vehicle they want from the
inventory of available vehicles. Even when a customer chooses to walk-in,
computers are available for him to go online and perform his reservation. When he
choose to reserve by phone, any of the customer service representatives can help him
reserve the vehicle speedily and issue him a reservation number.
The OVRS will maintain the database of all vehicles the company has. It will
also keep track of all vehicle reservation and return. Reports will be generated bi-
weekly. Reports for the Accounts Manager will detail the cost incurred to maintain
each vehicle and revenue accrued on each vehicle.
