Nowadays, the computerized word is highly resourceful one, which processing
The big quantities of data and keeping this huge amount of data. A growing movement
has emerged during the past two decades to questions. The role of the agricultural
establishments in promoting practices that contribute to those social problems.
Today this movement for sustainable agriculture is garnering increasing support and
acceptance within mainstream agriculture.
This study is intent to identify problem problems and solutions for a
vegetable production’s management. The proponents want to contribute on the solution
by providing a free online application that can manage effectively all the work that
has to be done at the most preferred time and can lessen the tremendous
wastages that results into a price increase in the vegetable market affect all consumers.

Objective of the studyThe general objective of this study is to develop an online web-based management
system in inventory control for vegetable production that help the business to
lessen the wastages of vegetables and updates the inventory by notification.
Specifically, it aimed to:
1.) Design the application with following features:
a.) to add and update the task management of an employee.
b.) to add and update the employee maintenance files.
c.) to send notification for the updates of inventory control of vegetables.
d.) to generate an ad hoc reports about inventory control of vegetables.
e.) to add new accounts of admin and user
2.) Create the application using MySQL, Php, CSS, HTML and Bootstrap.
3.) Test and improve the application’s functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency,
maintainability, speed, user-friendliness and portability; and
4.) Evaluate the performance of developed web-based application upon deployment.

Statement of the Problem
The general problem of the study intends to improve the process of controlling
inventory of vegetables.
Specific Problems:
1.) What system software that could help to improve the control of inventory of
vegetables?
2.) What features of the system that help to maintain, generate reports, store the
data, maintain the employee files, send notification, and manage the task?
3.) What is the level of assessment after evaluation of the systems in terms of:
a.) functionality
b.) reliability
c.) usability
d.) efficiency
e.) portability
f.) maintainability

Significance of the Study
Customer – the primary beneficiary of the study who regularly browse the
web-based application considered as user.
Owner of the Farm – the second beneficiary of the study who manage the
web-based application considered as admin.
Future Researcher – the third beneficiary of the study used for future
references.

Data Flow Diagram → this is used during in design of the system to visualize
the structure on how the flow of data in and out through
on-line transaction of the application.
Context Diagram – this is used to figure out how the web-based
application works and who are the actor interact with the system.
Program Flowchart – this is used during the analysis of the detailed
program flow and logical order of the application.
System Flowchart – this is used also to figure the overview of the whole
structure of the application.
HIPO (Hierarchical Input-Process-Output) – this is used for planning to figure
out the order & level of items within the application

The result of the survey were processed by computing the
weighted mean of each criteria. The computed values were compared to
the Likert Scale for data Interpretation. As illustrated in Table 1, the criteria
functionality was rated with the highest weighted mean rate of _4.21_, and
in the table 2, the lowest rate is maintainability with a weighted mean rate
of _3.15_.
The developed web-based online management system was rated very
good by the main users including IT professional experts.
This proves that the system can be helpful on the part of the business
which reduces the wastages of vegetable productions.

Conclusions
Based on the findings and results of the evaluation, the following conclusions
are generated and generalized were derived in this study:
1.) The researchers concluded that the system is very useful and believe that
developed web-based online management in inventory control of vegetables
is also of great help to the business.
2.) The performance of the system that was rated “strongly agree” in terms of
efficiency, usability, functionality, reliability and “agree” in maintainability and
portability signifies that the system meets its requirements.
3.) The developed system is approved and implemented to the clients or business
where the study conducted.

Future Works and Recommendation
In this study, the developed system which is “On-line Web-based
Management System in Inventory Control for Vegetable Production” is
highly recommended and it is now implemented by the business.
The future work include mobile apps which automatically notifies to the
employee regarding task management, inventory control and real-time
updates of sales and inventory.
