Project description:
You will:
• Collaborate with a group of 3-4 people
• Write a script that uses the vocabulary and grammar covered in our textbook, Deux Mondes, Chapter 3.
Vocabulaire: Buildings and places in town, giving and following directions, shopping and entertainment.
Grammar: 3.1 saying where things are -- prepositions of location (dans, à coté de, sur, devant, près de, à
gauche de, à droite de, entre, en face de, sous, derrière, loin de)
3.2 asking questions – interrogative words (Combien? Comment? Où ? Pourquoi ? Quand ?)
3.3 prendre, apprendre, comprendre
3.4 expressing necessity – il faut and the verb devoir
3.5 pointing things out – demonstrative adjectives (ce, cet, cette, ces)
3.6 expressing quantities – partitive articles (du, de la, de l’)
• Make a 3-4 minute movie filmed outside of class (script must be memorized!)
• Post the movie on YouTube
• Also provide a copy of the movie (cd or dvd) for your professor and turn in your final script.

HINTS on creating a successful project:
1. Make sure you incorporate into your script as much of the vocabulary and grammar from Chapter 3 as
possible.
2. Make sure you practice enough BEFORE making the final movie!
3. The movie should be no less than 3 minutes and no more than 4 minutes long, and there should be
talking and dialogue at all times. NO LONG SILENT or MUSICAL passages!
