Technology integration involves using technology in core and elective classes through the MYP Design Cycle, which is a process similar to engineering that helps students methodically solve problems. The Design Cycle consists of investigation, planning/designing, creating a product, and evaluating. It requires students to state the problem, research, design specifications, create prototypes, develop plans, make the product, test it, reflect on successes and failures, and suggest improvements. Effective technology integrations involve at least two steps of the cycle, take at least two weeks to complete, and are individualized projects rather than large group work.
