What Is Project Management Software?
Software specifically designed to help plan, organize,
and manage projects.
Determine project tasks, create schedule, assign resources and
identify issues & risks.
It is an application of knowledge, skills , tools & techniques to
project activities in order to meet stakeholder needs &
expectations from a project.
Expectations “Completion of Project on time within Budget without
comprising Quality”

General Software Applications
• Mostly companies practicing in spreadsheets for scheduling &
alignment to the team members.
• Project team members maintain the status of their assigned task
on their individual desk.
• On demand reporting for status information from individuals is
printed or softcopy submitted to relevant authority.
• Spread sheet files are maintained on individual’s desktop or on
google doc which share among all team members for editing, it
may cause untracked.
• Report generations on ad-hoc basis are not possible.
• Less Security.
