I. Learning platform have now become central to the learning process The goal of this work
was to develop educational platform of the Iraqi STEM in Educational Robotics laboratory at
the College of Education Ibn al-Haytham using internet technologies (HTML, CSS,JS PHP,
MySQL)
II. and to develop a system which is essential for teaching institution. Both students and
teachers are tied up in this system. Overall it’s a guided learning for student and a great way
to change our typical learning curriculum by implement STEM approach but not
replacement of typical teaching, it’s only the supplement idea for teaching which helps to
learn easily and fill up their lickings.
III. Agile development methodology used for the design and execution of the educational
platform. Since it is a complex task, we found that the best software development method
to complete this task is Agile. Because agile method in compare with traditional plan-based
methods, have several advantages have the ability to handle projects where requirements
are constantly changing.
4. Aim of the project
The aims of this project are:
Creating a platform for Iraqi STEM to ensure the Students are interacting with teachers and
with each other in learning environment that contain all what they need.
Raising student interests through new learning approaches and an enhanced curriculum.

5. DEVELOPMENT OF THE PLATFORM
Educational platform of Iraqi STEM is the learning
management system based on the available
Internet technologies (HTML, CSS, PHP, MYSQL).
The database was created during the education
platform development, the aim of the database
is to store and manage the information of Iraqi
STEM courses, students, and teachers. PHP
scripts and MY SQL was used to connect the
database into platform. Problems were solved
using the Agile development engineering known
as the iterative process. Each iteration results are
the beginning of the next piece of the software
development puzzle until the final product is
complete. Each iteration is usually take time
interval from two to four weeks to be completed.
