Program to illustrate Switch, Goto and Exit statements.harman kaur
This program uses switch, exit, and goto statements to continuously calculate operations on user-inputted values for x and y until the user wants to quit. The user is prompted to enter values for x and y and an operation choice of sum, subtraction, multiplication, or division. The program then displays the result and asks if the user wants to continue, branching back to the start with goto if yes, or exiting with exit if no.
Banks offer various types of accounts, such as savings, checking, cer.pdfakbsingh1313
Banks offer various types of accounts, such as savings, checking, certificate of deposits, and
money market, to attract customers as well as meet their specific needs. Two of the most
commonly used accounts are savings and checking. Each of these accounts has various options.
For example, you may have a savings account that requires no minimum balance but has a lower
interest rate. Similarly, you may have a checking account that limits the number of checks you
may write. Another type of account that is used to save money for the long term is certificate of
deposit (CD). In this programming exercise, you use abstract classes and pure virtual functions to
design classes to manipulate various types of accounts. For simplicity, assume that the bank
offers three types of accounts: savings, checking, and certificate of deposit, as described next.
Savings accounts: Suppose that the bank offers two types of savings accounts: one that has no
minimum balance and a lower interest rate and another that requires a minimum balance and has
a higher interest rate. Checking accounts: Suppose that the bank offers three types of checking
accounts: one with a monthly service charge, limited check writing, no minimum balance, and no
interest; another with no monthly service charge, a minimum balance requirement, unlimited
check writing and lower interest; and a third with no monthly service charge, a higher minimum
requirement, a higher interest rate, and unlimited check writing. Certificate of deposit (CD): In
an account of this type, money is left for some time, and these accounts draw higher interest rates
than savings or checking accounts. Suppose that you purchase a CD for six months. Then we say
that the CD will mature in six months. The penalty for early withdrawal is stiff. bankAccount:
Every bank account has an account number, the name of the owner, and a balance. Therefore,
instance variables such as name, accountNumber, and balance should be declared in the abstract
class bankAccount. Some operations common to all types of accounts are retrieve account
owner\'s name, account number, and account balance; make deposits; withdraw money; and
create monthly statements. So include functions to implement these operations. Some of these
functions will be pure virtual. checkingAccount: A checking account is a bank account
Therefore, it inherits all the properties of a bank account. Because one of the objectives of a
checking account is to be able to write checks, include the pure virtual function writeCheck to
write a check. serviceChargeChecking: A service charge checking account is a checking account.
Therefore, it inherits all the properties of a checking account. For simplicity, assume that this
type of account does not pay any interest, allows the account holder to write a limited number of
checks each month, and does not require any minimum balance. Include appropriate named
constants, instance variables, and functions in this class. noServiceChargeChecki.
This document provides a project report for an assignment to design two ACCOUNT components using Model-Driven Architecture (MDA). The two components, ACCOUNT-1 and ACCOUNT-2, are state-based and support transactions like withdrawal, deposit, and balance inquiry. The report includes an introduction describing the goal and components. It then provides the MDA-EFSM model, including state diagrams and lists of events and actions. Class diagrams modeling the different design patterns used are also included. The report describes the purpose and attributes of key classes. It provides examples of how transactions would work for each component and lists the source code and patterns used.
The document discusses logging in software applications. It covers logging best practices and common problems with logs embedded in code. It proposes using aspect-oriented programming (AOP) to separate logging concerns from application code through markers like @LogExecutionTime and @Authorize. This improves code quality by reducing tangling and scattering. Example implementations demonstrate using AOP proxies to add logging for performance and authorization around controller methods. The talk also discusses using logs for troubleshooting, legal requirements, and analyzing user behavior. It presents several logging frameworks including file-based, database, REST APIs, and Prometheus/Grafana for metrics.

Case Study
Overview of assignment
As a new ABC Consultant assigned to the XYZ Company, you have been asked to enhance the current system to include payroll processing. Although the current employee table has monthly salary and commission columns, it does not provide any means for storing employee deductions. You will add the tables necessary to store employee deductions. Next you will create a payroll pre-calculation program that will calculate the net pay for all the employees via a batch process (a stored procedure in a package, which will call other stored procedures within the package). Although this is not a complete payroll system, the unit test results must be accurate.
Next you will create two PL/SQL blocks for inserting and deleting rows from the employee deduction table. These PL/SQL blocks will be passed information from host or bind variables and a third PL/SQL block which will assign the variables defined in SQL*Plus (e.g. employee number, dollar amount and deduction name). Since the XYZ Company wants to track changes to the employee and employee deduction tables, you will create two database triggers that will update audit tables when rows are changed or deleted.
The XYZ Company also requires a view that will display specific employee information, plus the number of deductions for an employe ...

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized the creation of images and videos, enabling the generation of highly realistic and imaginative visual content. Utilizing advanced techniques like Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) and neural style transfer, AI can transform simple sketches into detailed artwork or blend various styles into unique visual masterpieces. GANs, in particular, function by pitting two neural networks against each other, resulting in the production of remarkably lifelike images. AI's ability to analyze and learn from vast datasets allows it to create visuals that not only mimic human creativity but also push the boundaries of artistic expression, making it a powerful tool in digital media and entertainment industries.
Decolonizing Universal Design for LearningFrederic Fovet
UDL has gained in popularity over the last decade both in the K-12 and the post-secondary sectors. The usefulness of UDL to create inclusive learning experiences for the full array of diverse learners has been well documented in the literature, and there is now increasing scholarship examining the process of integrating UDL strategically across organisations. One concern, however, remains under-reported and under-researched. Much of the scholarship on UDL ironically remains while and Eurocentric. Even if UDL, as a discourse, considers the decolonization of the curriculum, it is abundantly clear that the research and advocacy related to UDL originates almost exclusively from the Global North and from a Euro-Caucasian authorship. It is argued that it is high time for the way UDL has been monopolized by Global North scholars and practitioners to be challenged. Voices discussing and framing UDL, from the Global South and Indigenous communities, must be amplified and showcased in order to rectify this glaring imbalance and contradiction.
This session represents an opportunity for the author to reflect on a volume he has just finished editing entitled Decolonizing UDL and to highlight and share insights into the key innovations, promising practices, and calls for change, originating from the Global South and Indigenous Communities, that have woven the canvas of this book. The session seeks to create a space for critical dialogue, for the challenging of existing power dynamics within the UDL scholarship, and for the emergence of transformative voices from underrepresented communities. The workshop will use the UDL principles scrupulously to engage participants in diverse ways (challenging single story approaches to the narrative that surrounds UDL implementation) , as well as offer multiple means of action and expression for them to gain ownership over the key themes and concerns of the session (by encouraging a broad range of interventions, contributions, and stances).
