BOLSTERING RESERVES OF RAJASTHAN’S POWER PLANTS
CM secures release of 4,00,000 Metric tons of coal
Aishwary Pradhan
Jaipur
n a significant
achievement,
Chief Minister
Bhajan Lal Sharma has
successfully secured the
release of 400,000 metric
tons of coal (approxi-
mately 100 coal rakes)
stranded in Chhattisgarh.
This will bolster the re-
serves of Rajasthan’s
power plants, ensuring
an adequate electricity
supply for the public.
The Rajasthan State
Power Generation Cor-
poration had awarded a
five-year contract toAry-
an Coal Beneficiation In-
dia Limited (ACBIL) for
coal supply from SECL’s
mines to Suratgarh and
Chhabra thermal power
plants. However, in July
2022, the Chhattisgarh
state departments of GST,
Mines, Revenue, and En-
vironment conducted a
joint operation, sealing
ACBIL’s washeries. Con-
sequently, Rajasthan’s
400,000 metric tons of
coal were stranded in
these washeries. CM
Sharma promptly con-
tacted Chhattisgarh CM
Vishnu Deo Sai and the
central government, urg-
ing release of coal. Due
to Sharma’s relentless ef-
forts, Chhattisgarh govt
acted swiftly and seri-
ously to facilitate coal’s
release. Recently, Dis-
trict Collector of Korba
issued an order to release
400,000 metric tons coal.

oga is the great tra-
dition of India,
which once gave
our country recog-
nition as a world
leader. Today, it is even more im-
portant as an ideal lifestyle be-
cause through it we move to-
wards a healthy body and a
healthy mind.
Maharishi Arvind was a great
yogi and described yoga practice
as very important for a holistic
view of life, he had once said that
if a person adopts yoga, he is
completely transformed. He gets
connected to the festivity of life
with feelings of positivity.
It is to be understood that yoga
is not a therapy, yoga is the big-
gest medium of self-develop-
ment. This is the method of meet-
ing the supreme element which
provides inner light to the person.
That is why, from the very begin-
ning, sages, saints and noble peo-
ple have been associated with the
tradition of yoga.
I remember, on 27 September
2014, Prime Minister Narendra
Modi proposed to celebrateYoga
at the world level in the United
Nations and 177 countries then
became its co-sponsors. The pro-
posal to celebrate World Yoga
Day was passed in record time.
On 11 December 2014, the pro-
posal to celebrate Yoga Day on
21 June was approved by 193
members of the United Nations.
Considering this great tradition
of India useful for the whole
world, World Yoga Day was de-
clared on 21 June. I believe that
this is the global acceptance of
our traditions and culture.
Yoga means to connect. In our
country, Maharishi Patanjali was
the first to codify theYoga Sutras
by organizing various meditation
practices. If you go into the In-
dian culture of the Vedas, you
will come across the tradition of
Yoga there too. Hiranyagarbha
preached Yoga at the beginning
of creation. Rishis like Patanjali,
Jaimini etc. later made it acces-
sible to everyone. From Hatha to
Vinyasa and from Dhyan to Pra-
nayama,Yoga has been enriching
and fulfilling life.
In such a time when the mind
is constantly wandering in the
blind race of materialism, Yoga
is also very useful for mental
peace and satisfaction. Maharishi
Arvind has written that Yoga
does not mean to renounce life
but to face the problems and chal-
lenges of life with courage by
believing in divine power. In
Arvind’s view, Yoga is not just to
practice difficult asanas and pra-
nayama but about surrendering
oneself to God without any ex-
pectation and transforming one-
self into a divine form through
mental education.
Yoga is connected to the mind
along with the body. If the mind
is healthy, the body automati-
cally moves towards health. In
intuition, a person comes face to
face with the ignorance within
him. Yoga helps in this. I have
experienced it many times. If the
modern generation joins the yo-
gic routine, if it is made compul-
sory in schools and colleges, then
many complexities related to life
can be solved very easily.
Swami Vivekananda had ad-
vised the yogis of his time that
their conduct itself should be a
proof. What he meant to say was
that yoga should be kept away
from commercialism. It should
not be associated with miracles,
but should be seen as a welfare
for humanity. This is the biggest
need of the hour.
In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord
Krishna has said ‘Yogah Kar-
masu Kaushalam’. That is, yoga
is the method of achieving effi-
ciency in any work. Mahatma
Gandhi has practiced Anasakti
Yoga. There is Kriya Yoga in Pa-
tanjali Yoga Darshan. Yoga has
been a part of our sacred lifestyle
since the beginning in all forms
like Pashupat and Maheshwar
Yoga. Adopting it means, re-
straint of the mind’s tendencies
and a healthy body and healthy
mind. This is also the biggest
need of today.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY
Postal Reg No. JPC/004/2022-24
Jaipur, Friday | June 21, 2024 www.firstindia.co.in firstindia.co.in/epapers/jaipur thefirstindia thefirstindia thefirstindia
What is your take on
the relationship between
BJP and RSS going
forward?
Dr Jagdeesh Chandra:
There is no doubt that the
decades-old relations be-
tween BJP and RSS have
reached a critical junc-
ture, but one thing is cer-
tain RSS is not going to
disrupt or disturb the
Narendra Modi govern-
ment because RSS has
already said that Naren-
dra Modi is an ideal
Prime Minister. RSS
Chief Mohan Bhagwat
had said in Ayodhya that
Narendra Modi appears
to be a ‘Sanyasi and Ta-
pasvi.’ But they have a
pain in their heart and
want recognition. RSS
feels for the past some
time, that they have been
sidelined and that they
are not consulted on im-
portant matters. So they
want such consultations
to take place which used
to happen ten years back
and thus, it should be re-
stored. Secondly, RSS
also wants that organisa-
tion related work should
be handed to it while
Modi runs the govern-
ment. On the other hand,
the BJP’s thought on this
issue, as can be inferred
from JP Nadda’s recent
interview, was that in the
past, BJPneeded RSS be-
cause it was a small party
and was not as capable as
RSS. But now BJP has
grown from strength to
strength and thus it can
handle its ground. Apart
from this, RSS is a cul-
tural and social organisa-
tion while BJP is a politi-
cal party. So in these two
points, Nadda put for-
ward the philosophy and
ideas of the BJP leader-
ship clearly. It hints that
RSS should keep itself
occupied in the social
and cultural sphere while
leaving the political and
party-related works to
BJP. So, the basic issue is
serious and it remains to
be seen how in the com-
ing days the two leader-
ships sort the issue.
What do you think were
the reasons that led to a
sense of frustration or
disappointment towards
the BJP leadership in
Mohan Bhagwat’s heart?
Also, why do you think
they chose a public
platform to put forward
their points?
See, the main issue is
recognition and rele-
vance. RSS feels that in
the past ten years, its rec-
ognition and relevance
have decreased and that
the ‘power centre’ has
shifted from Nagpur to
Ahmedabad. Secondly,
how BJP is functioning
and working in Modi’s
leadership, somewhere
RSS does not appear to
be alright or comfortable
with this. I won’t say that
RSS is against BJP but it
certainly does not look as
if they are comfortable
with it. It appears that in
their mind, they feel that
the ‘recognition centre’is
shifting from their side
and that their recognition
and value have gone
down in the past ten years
since consultation with
RSS has gone down. The
second main issue bor-
ders around the recently
conducted Lok Sabha
election where it appears
that RSS feels it has not
been consulted with and
it is said that RSS had
given a few names as
candidates in the Awadh
belt of Uttar Pradesh but
these names were not ac-
cepted. So after this
RSS’s mood changed and
it is now believed that
one of the reasons for
BJP being restricted to
such a low number is due
to the reason that RSS
workers did not take to
the field. Its result was
that the BJP faced a loss.
But this also poses a
question as to has your
disappointment become
so big that you caused a
loss to your party. Have
BJP-RSS relations
reached such a critical
point that the RSS work-
ers did not work as they
would have, which is be-
ing perceived? RSS
workers not working ac-
tively in elections is a
serious point on which
the leadership should de-
liberate and think. When
the issue of cabinet was
being formed, I have
heard that consultation
with RSS was not held
there too and I have also
heard that Arun Kumar
told BJP that if the party
does not pay heed to
RSS’ views, why then
does it seek its opinion?
The result of this was that
no senior RSS leader was
present in the oath cere-
mony. It is a thing of
wonder that you are com-
ing to power, BJPis com-
ing to power for the third
time, PM is returning to
power for the third time,
and yet RSS is missing
from the action. This
gives one the idea that
RSS is disappointed, sad
or angry. I spoke to a sen-
ior leader on this issue
and asked him what was
happening, and he said
all is well. But nothing is
alright rather this issue
has to be sorted. There
are elections in the future
and it can not be that RSS
does not play an active
role. Fights can be ad-
dressed at appropriate
times but at least win
elections first. Further-
more, on the issue of
Ram Mandir, I heard that
there were some differ-
ences on that issue as
well. RSS thought that it
should not have been po-
liticised and attempts to
take political capital
from it should not have
been made. But here BJP
differs from its opinion
and everyone differs on
this issue. See, Modi,
Shah, or Nadda are not
saints or sages, rather
they will look to create
public opinion from such
issues. How else will
they do it? Not just BJP,
rather no other political
party will leave such a
chance. If you do not take
political capital out of
such major develop-
ments, what will you do
in politics then? Then
there was another issue
that Nripendra Mishra
was made in charge of
the project which did not
go down well with RSS
as it maintained that
someone from RSS
should have been given
that chance. Then anoth-
er issue was regarding
accounts that were being
looked after by Champat
Rai, and something hap-
pened with it that after
this BJPstopped consult-
ing with RSS on the Ram
Mandir project, so it is
said. I also heard that
RSS thought that leader-
centric politics should
not happen. To this, BJP
questioned that if leader-
centric politics is not en-
gaged in then who will
lead the party? You need
the face of the political
party and everywhere in
the world this happens.
Narendra Modi is the
face of the nation which
the BJP has and that face
gets votes. If you say
politics should not be
leader-centric then it can
not happen. Basically
what BJP feels now is
that RSS’s suggestions
are theoretical and ideo-
logical, which do not fit
the political realm. See,
this issue has to be dealt
with at a logical level and
both Mohan Bhagwat and
JP Nadda would want
that. If they can look eye
to eye then it’s alright, if
not, then they would be
free to raise their organi-
sation and when the issue
of resources comes forth,
they will then look into it.
The issue should be de-
cided but it should not
come to pass that RSS
workers do not go to cast
their votes or motivate
people to vote.
You talked about this
situation, but how far do
you think this clash of
ideas will continue? Do
you think it could come to
that level that things go
way beyond the difference
of opinion situation it
presently is at?
There are two things in
this. Differences of opin-
ion may be there, but if
you are going to imply
about show of strength,
then be assured, that a
show of strength can not
happen in Narendra
Modi’s life as you can not
defeat him or Amit Shah
in any show of strength.
Secondly, this situation of
a show of strength will
not arise because it is non-
existent in RSS’s DNA
and the DNA of RSS and
BJP is vice versa. But
even if such a situation
occurs, you tell mow out
of the 240 individuals,
how many people are
there who will leave
Modi-Shah and head to
the organisation? How
many Chief Ministers are
there who will leave for
organisation? I don’t
think there is any. Such a
situation will not happen,
and even if it comes to
pass, then it is impossible
to defeat Narendra Modi
in a show of strength.
Amidst the controversy
regarding BJP-RSS
relations, a book written
by PM Modi - Jyotipunj
- is being discussed
a lot. What is there in
that book?
That book defines the re-
lations between Narendra
Modi and Mohan Bhag-
wat and Bhagwat’s rela-
tions with his family. In
that book, Modi comes
across as a writer, a phi-
losopher, and an intellec-
tual. He has written in the
book that when he was 20
years old he observed that
in Mohan Bhagwat’s fa-
ther - Madhukar Rao
Bhagwat - he used to find
a mix of Gujarati and
Marathi style of clothing.
Modi said that after meet-
ing him he used to feel
that the senior Bhagwat
has become a part of him
like how milk and sugar
mixwitheachother.Modi
further said that in those
times there was no one
who used to even take
RSS’ name and in such a
time,MadhukarRaospent
his life for RSS and estab-
lishedRSSinthestate.He
entered from Surat held
a first ‘shivir’ there. From
there he moved to Karna-
vati, Baroda, and other
places. If you look at it,
Mohan Bhagwat Nar-
endra Modi are ‘Guru
Bhai’ because Madhukar
RaoBhagwatusedtocon-
sider Modi as his ‘Mana
Putra’and was impressed
by Modi. They even
shared time in a ‘shivir’ in
Nagpur. So look at the re-
lationship between the

Throwing light on the recent tussle between BJP and RSS, Dr Jagdeesh Chandra stresses that
though RSS is a socio-cultural organisation, BJP is purely a political party and thus their outlook
would be different since both organisations function in other fields serving the common goal of
national development. Dr Chandra also says that though there may be a myriad of issues that
have led to the current scenario, the relations between Modi-Bhagwat are age-old and not a
recent phenomenon and thus have the strength to navigate such times... (Part I)

reetings on World Yoga
Day! As we know, the
word ‘Yoga’ is derived
from the Sanskrit root
‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to join’
or ‘to unite’. As per our
scriptures, the practice of Yoga leads to
the union of individual consciousness
with that of Universal Consciousness,
indicating a perfect harmony between the
mind, body and spirit and a coordination
between Man Nature. By truly imbib-
ing the spirit of Yoga, we can celebrate a
harmonious, balanced healthy body
and find peace within ourselves, this is
the need of the hour, today, for the indi-

International Yoga Day is observed on June 21, the longest day of the
year in the Northern Hemisphere, symbolising the significance of light
and the transition to Dakshinayana, an auspicious period in Indian
tradition. The 2024 theme, Yoga for Self and Society, highlights how
yoga not only enhances personal health but also contributes to social
well-being. It underscores the interconnectedness of individual and
collective health, promoting yoga as a tool for personal growth and
societal betterment.

June 21, the summer
solstice, holds special sig-
nificance in many cul-
tures worldwide. In yoga,
it marks the transition to
Dakshinayana, the period
when the sun begins to
move southward. This
time is considered favour-
able for spiritual practic-
es, making it an apt choice
for celebrating the es-
sence of yoga.
World Yoga Day sees
diverse celebrations
worldwide. From massive
gatherings in iconic loca-
tions like New York's
Times Square and India's
Rajpath to smaller com-
munity events in parks
and studios, people come
together to practice yoga.
These events often feature
group yoga sessions,
workshops, meditation
classes, and discussions
on the benefits of yoga.
Each year, World Yoga
Day adopts a theme to fo-
cus global efforts and dis-
cussions. Themes in the
past have included Yoga
for Health, Yoga for
Peace, and Yoga for
Climate Action, high-
lighting the broad appli-
cability of yoga to various
global challenges.
World Yoga Day serves
as a reminder of the unity
and harmony that yoga
promotes. It is a day to ap-
preciate this ancient prac-
tice's profound impact on
individual lives and col-
lective well-being.
Whether you are a sea-
soned practitioner or a
curious beginner, this day
offers an opportunity to
join a global community
in the pursuit of health,
peace, and mindfulness.
So, unroll your mat,
take a deep breath, and
join millions around the
world in celebrating the
transformative power of
yoga.

  • 4. oga is the great tra- dition of India, which once gave our country recog- nition as a world leader. Today, it is even more im- portant as an ideal lifestyle be- cause through it we move to- wards a healthy body and a healthy mind. Maharishi Arvind was a great yogi and described yoga practice as very important for a holistic view of life, he had once said that if a person adopts yoga, he is completely transformed. He gets connected to the festivity of life with feelings of positivity. It is to be understood that yoga is not a therapy, yoga is the big- gest medium of self-develop- ment. This is the method of meet- ing the supreme element which provides inner light to the person. That is why, from the very begin- ning, sages, saints and noble peo- ple have been associated with the tradition of yoga. I remember, on 27 September 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed to celebrateYoga at the world level in the United Nations and 177 countries then became its co-sponsors. The pro- posal to celebrate World Yoga Day was passed in record time. On 11 December 2014, the pro- posal to celebrate Yoga Day on 21 June was approved by 193 members of the United Nations. Considering this great tradition of India useful for the whole world, World Yoga Day was de- clared on 21 June. I believe that this is the global acceptance of our traditions and culture. Yoga means to connect. In our country, Maharishi Patanjali was the first to codify theYoga Sutras by organizing various meditation practices. If you go into the In- dian culture of the Vedas, you will come across the tradition of Yoga there too. Hiranyagarbha preached Yoga at the beginning of creation. Rishis like Patanjali, Jaimini etc. later made it acces- sible to everyone. From Hatha to Vinyasa and from Dhyan to Pra- nayama,Yoga has been enriching and fulfilling life. In such a time when the mind is constantly wandering in the blind race of materialism, Yoga is also very useful for mental peace and satisfaction. Maharishi Arvind has written that Yoga does not mean to renounce life but to face the problems and chal- lenges of life with courage by believing in divine power. In Arvind’s view, Yoga is not just to practice difficult asanas and pra- nayama but about surrendering oneself to God without any ex- pectation and transforming one- self into a divine form through mental education. Yoga is connected to the mind along with the body. If the mind is healthy, the body automati- cally moves towards health. In intuition, a person comes face to face with the ignorance within him. Yoga helps in this. I have experienced it many times. If the modern generation joins the yo- gic routine, if it is made compul- sory in schools and colleges, then many complexities related to life can be solved very easily. Swami Vivekananda had ad- vised the yogis of his time that their conduct itself should be a proof. What he meant to say was that yoga should be kept away from commercialism. It should not be associated with miracles, but should be seen as a welfare for humanity. This is the biggest need of the hour. In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna has said ‘Yogah Kar- masu Kaushalam’. That is, yoga is the method of achieving effi- ciency in any work. Mahatma Gandhi has practiced Anasakti Yoga. There is Kriya Yoga in Pa- tanjali Yoga Darshan. Yoga has been a part of our sacred lifestyle since the beginning in all forms like Pashupat and Maheshwar Yoga. Adopting it means, re- straint of the mind’s tendencies and a healthy body and healthy mind. This is also the biggest need of today. • 9. 08 Greetings on the occasion of World Yoga Day! Choose Yoga for a mentally and physically fulfilling, healthy life! Dr JAGDEESH CHANDRA, CMD Editor-in-Chief THOUGHT OF THE DAY Postal Reg No. JPC/004/2022-24 Jaipur, Friday | June 21, 2024 www.firstindia.co.in firstindia.co.in/epapers/jaipur thefirstindia thefirstindia thefirstindia What is your take on the relationship between BJP and RSS going forward? Dr Jagdeesh Chandra: There is no doubt that the decades-old relations be- tween BJP and RSS have reached a critical junc- ture, but one thing is cer- tain RSS is not going to disrupt or disturb the Narendra Modi govern- ment because RSS has already said that Naren- dra Modi is an ideal Prime Minister. RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat had said in Ayodhya that Narendra Modi appears to be a ‘Sanyasi and Ta- pasvi.’ But they have a pain in their heart and want recognition. RSS feels for the past some time, that they have been sidelined and that they are not consulted on im- portant matters. So they want such consultations to take place which used to happen ten years back and thus, it should be re- stored. Secondly, RSS also wants that organisa- tion related work should be handed to it while Modi runs the govern- ment. On the other hand, the BJP’s thought on this issue, as can be inferred from JP Nadda’s recent interview, was that in the past, BJPneeded RSS be- cause it was a small party and was not as capable as RSS. But now BJP has grown from strength to strength and thus it can handle its ground. Apart from this, RSS is a cul- tural and social organisa- tion while BJP is a politi- cal party. So in these two points, Nadda put for- ward the philosophy and ideas of the BJP leader- ship clearly. It hints that RSS should keep itself occupied in the social and cultural sphere while leaving the political and party-related works to BJP. So, the basic issue is serious and it remains to be seen how in the com- ing days the two leader- ships sort the issue. What do you think were the reasons that led to a sense of frustration or disappointment towards the BJP leadership in Mohan Bhagwat’s heart? Also, why do you think they chose a public platform to put forward their points? See, the main issue is recognition and rele- vance. RSS feels that in the past ten years, its rec- ognition and relevance have decreased and that the ‘power centre’ has shifted from Nagpur to Ahmedabad. Secondly, how BJP is functioning and working in Modi’s leadership, somewhere RSS does not appear to be alright or comfortable with this. I won’t say that RSS is against BJP but it certainly does not look as if they are comfortable with it. It appears that in their mind, they feel that the ‘recognition centre’is shifting from their side and that their recognition and value have gone down in the past ten years since consultation with RSS has gone down. The second main issue bor- ders around the recently conducted Lok Sabha election where it appears that RSS feels it has not been consulted with and it is said that RSS had given a few names as candidates in the Awadh belt of Uttar Pradesh but these names were not ac- cepted. So after this RSS’s mood changed and it is now believed that one of the reasons for BJP being restricted to such a low number is due to the reason that RSS workers did not take to the field. Its result was that the BJP faced a loss. But this also poses a question as to has your disappointment become so big that you caused a loss to your party. Have BJP-RSS relations reached such a critical point that the RSS work- ers did not work as they would have, which is be- ing perceived? RSS workers not working ac- tively in elections is a serious point on which the leadership should de- liberate and think. When the issue of cabinet was being formed, I have heard that consultation with RSS was not held there too and I have also heard that Arun Kumar told BJP that if the party does not pay heed to RSS’ views, why then does it seek its opinion? The result of this was that no senior RSS leader was present in the oath cere- mony. It is a thing of wonder that you are com- ing to power, BJPis com- ing to power for the third time, PM is returning to power for the third time, and yet RSS is missing from the action. This gives one the idea that RSS is disappointed, sad or angry. I spoke to a sen- ior leader on this issue and asked him what was happening, and he said all is well. But nothing is alright rather this issue has to be sorted. There are elections in the future and it can not be that RSS does not play an active role. Fights can be ad- dressed at appropriate times but at least win elections first. Further- more, on the issue of Ram Mandir, I heard that there were some differ- ences on that issue as well. RSS thought that it should not have been po- liticised and attempts to take political capital from it should not have been made. But here BJP differs from its opinion and everyone differs on this issue. See, Modi, Shah, or Nadda are not saints or sages, rather they will look to create public opinion from such issues. How else will they do it? Not just BJP, rather no other political party will leave such a chance. If you do not take political capital out of such major develop- ments, what will you do in politics then? Then there was another issue that Nripendra Mishra was made in charge of the project which did not go down well with RSS as it maintained that someone from RSS should have been given that chance. Then anoth- er issue was regarding accounts that were being looked after by Champat Rai, and something hap- pened with it that after this BJPstopped consult- ing with RSS on the Ram Mandir project, so it is said. I also heard that RSS thought that leader- centric politics should not happen. To this, BJP questioned that if leader- centric politics is not en- gaged in then who will lead the party? You need the face of the political party and everywhere in the world this happens. Narendra Modi is the face of the nation which the BJP has and that face gets votes. If you say politics should not be leader-centric then it can not happen. Basically what BJP feels now is that RSS’s suggestions are theoretical and ideo- logical, which do not fit the political realm. See, this issue has to be dealt with at a logical level and both Mohan Bhagwat and JP Nadda would want that. If they can look eye to eye then it’s alright, if not, then they would be free to raise their organi- sation and when the issue of resources comes forth, they will then look into it. The issue should be de- cided but it should not come to pass that RSS workers do not go to cast their votes or motivate people to vote. You talked about this situation, but how far do you think this clash of ideas will continue? Do you think it could come to that level that things go way beyond the difference of opinion situation it presently is at? There are two things in this. Differences of opin- ion may be there, but if you are going to imply about show of strength, then be assured, that a show of strength can not happen in Narendra Modi’s life as you can not defeat him or Amit Shah in any show of strength. Secondly, this situation of a show of strength will not arise because it is non- existent in RSS’s DNA and the DNA of RSS and BJP is vice versa. But even if such a situation occurs, you tell mow out of the 240 individuals, how many people are there who will leave Modi-Shah and head to the organisation? How many Chief Ministers are there who will leave for organisation? I don’t think there is any. Such a situation will not happen, and even if it comes to pass, then it is impossible to defeat Narendra Modi in a show of strength. Amidst the controversy regarding BJP-RSS relations, a book written by PM Modi - Jyotipunj - is being discussed a lot. What is there in that book? That book defines the re- lations between Narendra Modi and Mohan Bhag- wat and Bhagwat’s rela- tions with his family. In that book, Modi comes across as a writer, a phi- losopher, and an intellec- tual. He has written in the book that when he was 20 years old he observed that in Mohan Bhagwat’s fa- ther - Madhukar Rao Bhagwat - he used to find a mix of Gujarati and Marathi style of clothing. Modi said that after meet- ing him he used to feel that the senior Bhagwat has become a part of him like how milk and sugar mixwitheachother.Modi further said that in those times there was no one who used to even take RSS’ name and in such a time,MadhukarRaospent his life for RSS and estab- lishedRSSinthestate. He entered from Surat held a first ‘shivir’ there. From there he moved to Karna- vati, Baroda, and other places. If you look at it, Mohan Bhagwat Nar- endra Modi are ‘Guru Bhai’ because Madhukar RaoBhagwatusedtocon- sider Modi as his ‘Mana Putra’and was impressed by Modi. They even shared time in a ‘shivir’ in Nagpur. So look at the re- lationship between the twofamilies.Thatbook that bond is at one end the politics is at another. Throwing light on the recent tussle between BJP and RSS, Dr Jagdeesh Chandra stresses that though RSS is a socio-cultural organisation, BJP is purely a political party and thus their outlook would be different since both organisations function in other fields serving the common goal of national development. Dr Chandra also says that though there may be a myriad of issues that have led to the current scenario, the relations between Modi-Bhagwat are age-old and not a recent phenomenon and thus have the strength to navigate such times... The proposal re- ceived overwhelming support, with 177 nations co-sponsoring the resolu- tion, a record in the UN's history. June 21, the summer solstice, holds special sig- nificance in many cul- tures worldwide. In yoga, it marks the transition to Dakshinayana, the period when the sun begins to move southward. This time is considered favour- able for spiritual practic- es, making it an apt choice for celebrating the es- sence of yoga. World Yoga Day sees diverse celebrations worldwide. From massive gatherings in iconic loca- tions like New York's Times Square and India's Rajpath to smaller com- munity events in parks and studios, people come together to practice yoga. These events often feature group yoga sessions, workshops, meditation classes, and discussions on the benefits of yoga. Each year, World Yoga Day adopts a theme to fo- cus global efforts and dis- cussions. Themes in the past have included Yoga for Health, Yoga for Peace, and Yoga for Climate Action, high- lighting the broad appli- cability of yoga to various global challenges. World Yoga Day serves as a reminder of the unity and harmony that yoga promotes. It is a day to ap- preciate this ancient prac- tice's profound impact on individual lives and col- lective well-being. Whether you are a sea- soned practitioner or a curious beginner, this day offers an opportunity to join a global community in the pursuit of health, peace, and mindfulness. So, unroll your mat, take a deep breath, and join millions around the world in celebrating the transformative power of yoga.
