Supply refers to the quantity of a commodity that producers are willing and able to sell at a given price in a market during a specific time period. The three key aspects of supply are that it is a quantity, it is determined by price, and it is a flow rather than stock variable. Individual supply is the quantity a single firm is willing to produce, while market supply is the total quantity from all producers. Supply is positively impacted by higher prices and negatively impacted by higher input costs and taxes.

This document appears to be a student project report on investigating the relationship between input/output voltage and number of turns in the primary and secondary coils of a transformer. It includes sections on introduction, theory, apparatus, procedure, observations, conclusion, and bibliography. The key points are that the output voltage of a transformer depends on the ratio of turns in the secondary coil to the primary coil, and that there are losses between the input and output resulting in the transformer's efficiency being less than 100%.

Economics project on demand and supply of fresh vegetablesGaurav Khatri
The document summarizes a study about the supply of fresh vegetables. It discusses the purpose of studying the vegetable market supply chain and factors affecting vegetable supply. Primary data was collected from interviews with local sellers at a vegetable market in Noida, India. Secondary data from online sources and textbooks was also used to analyze statistics on vegetable supply and demand. Key findings included that India is one of the largest vegetable producers globally but its markets are mostly unorganized and supply-driven. Factors like price, seasonality, and the perishable nature of vegetables were found to impact supply.
The document discusses the law of supply, which states that the quantity supplied of a good rises as the price rises and falls as the price falls, assuming other factors remain constant. It explains that individuals supply factors of production to firms and that firms then transform these inputs into usable goods and services. The supply curve illustrates the relationship between price and quantity supplied, and can shift due to changes in input prices, technology, expectations, taxes, or subsidies.
Cost curves show the relationship between a firm's costs and output. There are several types of costs in the short-run and long-run:
1. Short-run costs include total, fixed, variable, average, and marginal costs. Total cost is the sum of fixed and variable costs. Average costs depend on total costs and output. Marginal cost is the change in total cost from a one-unit change in output.
2. Long-run costs have no fixed costs since all inputs are variable. Long-run total and average costs depend on minimum costs of production at different output levels. Long-run marginal cost is the change in total cost from a change in all variable inputs.
3
The document discusses key aspects of the Indian economy from 1950-1990, including the types of economic systems like capitalist and socialist models. It outlines the three important economic decisions around production. The goals of India's Five Year Plans are described as growth, modernization, self-reliance, and equity. Agriculture reforms like land reforms and the Green Revolution are mentioned. The use of subsidies in India and their impact is questioned. Import substitution through protectionist policies like tariffs and quotas is also summarized. The conclusion states that the Indian economy had great success during this period from 1950-1990.
The document defines key economic concepts and terms. It discusses how production is the process of producing goods and services to satisfy human needs, using the example of Ford's assembly line. Consumption is defined as the using up of goods created by production, including both capital and non-productive consumption. Distribution refers to how the gross domestic product is distributed among the factors of production through rent, wages, salaries and interest. The document also discusses the different meanings of statistics in plural and singular form.
The document provides details about various optical instruments including the human eye, camera, microscope, telescope, and some famous space telescopes. It describes the basic workings of the eye, camera, and microscope. It explains that telescopes use lenses or mirrors to make distant objects appear nearer. Famous telescopes mentioned include Galileo's early refracting telescope, Newton's reflecting telescope, and the Hubble Space Telescope, which avoids issues with Earth's atmosphere.
The document summarizes the Make in India campaign launched by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2015. The campaign aims to transform India into a global manufacturing hub and focuses on 25 sectors to boost job creation, skill development, GDP growth, and tax revenue. It promotes manufacturing, exports over imports, and development of small/medium enterprises and public sectors. The campaign has received positive responses from major companies which have announced investments in expanding operations and building new manufacturing plants in India. If successfully implemented, Make in India is expected to substantially increase India's economic growth and global competitiveness.
This document discusses the key concepts of supply including the meaning of supply, the law of supply, and supply curves. It explains that the law of supply states that as price rises, quantity supplied increases, as shown by upward sloping supply curves. Supply curves can shift due to changes in production costs, taxes, technology, number of producers, and prices of substitutes. Joint supply occurs when increased output of one good increases supply of another good. Examples given are beef and beef hides, which are jointly supplied.
The document discusses the Human Development Index (HDI), which is used to rank countries based on their level of human development. The HDI is a composite statistic comprised of indicators of life expectancy, education, and gross national income per capita. It was created by the United Nations Development Programme in 1990 to evaluate development based on human well-being rather than just economic factors. The document then provides details on Sri Lanka's past HDI scores and rankings compared to other countries.
The Production Possibility Curve (PPC) shows the combinations of two goods an economy can produce with its limited resources. It illustrates the core economic problem of scarcity and choice. A PPC demonstrates that an economy must choose between different goods - it can produce more of one good only by reducing production of the other as resources are reallocated between uses. The opportunity cost of choosing one combination over another is the quantity of the forgone good.

Managerial economics is the application of economic theory and methodology to managerial decision making. It helps managers make optimal decisions about allocating scarce resources. Some key concepts in managerial economics include opportunity cost, incremental cost, time perspective, discounting, and the equi-marginal principle. Opportunity cost refers to the next best alternative forgone in making a decision. Incremental cost is the additional cost of producing one more unit. Managers must consider both short-run and long-run time perspectives. Discounting accounts for the time value of money by calculating present values. The equi-marginal principle suggests allocating resources to equalize marginal productivity gains across activities.

This report discusses and talks about the engineering economic analysis material and
introduces the student to cost analysis scenarios in which a typical working engineer
might be involved. It outlines some of the many and varied cost and economic
analyses to which beginning, as well as journeyman, engineers are exposed. Effective
analysis of product and project costs and the ability to implement cost control
measures are two sides of the same coin. Most business economic decisions involve
the element of time, however, and it is thus necessary to consider factors such as
interest, the time value of money, and depreciation of equipment. The effect of
inflation (or deflation) on the rate of return for investment depends on how the
future returns respond. Larger investments are analyzed by evaluating the rate of
return. Like other decision-making processes, the decision matrix is a valuable tool to
assist in evaluating the various alternatives, And so report explained and I mentioned
a very important part or let's say element in engineering economic witch is interested I
explained it briefly within its formula and figures and its type and ect...finally my aim
is showing effect and importance and actions of the (Interest) in economy field.

This document provides an overview of the circular flow of income model in economics. It defines the circular flow of income as the cycle of generation, distribution, and circulation of income between households and firms. The key sectors in an economy are identified as households, firms, government, and the foreign sector. Households own factors of production and receive income from selling these factors to firms. Firms combine factors of production to produce goods and services and pay income to households. Households then use their income to purchase goods and services from firms, completing the circular flow. The assumptions, workings, phases and types of the circular flow model are also outlined.
The document discusses the value added method of calculating gross domestic product (GDP). It defines value added method as measuring national income in terms of the value added by each producing enterprise. It provides the formula for calculating value added, gross value added, net value added, and national income. It also discusses concepts like primary, secondary and tertiary sectors. The document cautions against double counting in national income calculation and provides steps and examples to clarify the application of value added method.
This document provides an introduction to economics. It defines key economic concepts like scarcity, resources, production, consumption, and capital formation. It explains that economics studies how societies allocate their limited resources. Microeconomics focuses on individual units while macroeconomics looks at the overall economy. The central problems that economies face are what and how to produce goods and services, and how to distribute them. Production possibility frontiers are used to show production tradeoffs and opportunity costs between two goods with limited resources. Marginal rates of transformation represent the tradeoff between goods on the production possibilities curve.

Decolonizing Universal Design for LearningFrederic Fovet
UDL has gained in popularity over the last decade both in the K-12 and the post-secondary sectors. The usefulness of UDL to create inclusive learning experiences for the full array of diverse learners has been well documented in the literature, and there is now increasing scholarship examining the process of integrating UDL strategically across organisations. One concern, however, remains under-reported and under-researched. Much of the scholarship on UDL ironically remains while and Eurocentric. Even if UDL, as a discourse, considers the decolonization of the curriculum, it is abundantly clear that the research and advocacy related to UDL originates almost exclusively from the Global North and from a Euro-Caucasian authorship. It is argued that it is high time for the way UDL has been monopolized by Global North scholars and practitioners to be challenged. Voices discussing and framing UDL, from the Global South and Indigenous communities, must be amplified and showcased in order to rectify this glaring imbalance and contradiction.
This session represents an opportunity for the author to reflect on a volume he has just finished editing entitled Decolonizing UDL and to highlight and share insights into the key innovations, promising practices, and calls for change, originating from the Global South and Indigenous Communities, that have woven the canvas of this book. The session seeks to create a space for critical dialogue, for the challenging of existing power dynamics within the UDL scholarship, and for the emergence of transformative voices from underrepresented communities. The workshop will use the UDL principles scrupulously to engage participants in diverse ways (challenging single story approaches to the narrative that surrounds UDL implementation) , as well as offer multiple means of action and expression for them to gain ownership over the key themes and concerns of the session (by encouraging a broad range of interventions, contributions, and stances).
