25 stats—13 positive, 12 negative—that reflect the marketing world, including content marketing, social media, email newsletters, analytics, blogging, digital video, and more.
Keep these stats in mind when crafting your marketing strategy.
If you are like many people, even the thought of delivering a speech in front of an audience will get your palms sweating. The fear of public speaking ranks high among the most common phobias, and for good reason: most of us approach the situation with the wrong mindset, which in turn makes us live out our worst fears in a public forum.
As Michael Parker notes in IT’S NOT WHAT YOU SAY: How to Sell Your Message When It Matters Most (A TarcherPerigee paperback; on sale January 2016), our fixation on the content of our words – and not the presentation of ourselves – is what brings us down. Once the Vice-Chairman of London’s Saatchi & Saatchi, and one of the world’s most experienced advertising pitch men, having made more than 1,000 pitches in his successful career, Parker has learned first-hand that an effective presentation, a job interview, or even a speech at a wedding hinges on our ability to portray ourselves as passionate, relatable, and collected. But, if we are focused on what we say, and not how we act, we will fail to persuade our audience.
Applied in the boardroom, at the pulpit, or even in conversation, these tenets will help you present better in any situation.
It’s not enough that you drink water every day. You have to make sure it’s the adequate amount and it’s absolutely safe and clean. To be guaranteed about your everyday drinking water, it would be a good idea buy water filter here in Singapore or anywhere you might be in the world.

Our brains are always searching for stories. You need stories. You live your life around stories. Your life itself is a story. So, now find out how you can use them to better understand how brands and businesses can use storytelling to increase engagement and sales.
The document discusses things that one should never stop doing like searching, spring cleaning, and asking questions. It provides tips on passion, purpose, problems to solve, and spending time on hobbies and with good friends. It also advises cleaning out toxic social media friends and emails. The document cautions that no one can truly prepare for the future and to trust no one's predictions, instead favoring predictions from movies. Ultimately, it says to trust yourself.

This document summarizes several factors that can lead to interpersonal attraction according to social psychology research: physical appearance/beauty, personality, proximity, and similarity. Studies discussed found that people tend to see attractive, beautiful people as more desirable and competent. Additionally, having a warm, kind, or exciting personality is attractive to others. Proximity, or spending time near others, increases comfort levels and likelihood of attraction. Similarity in characteristics and interests between people also reduces conflicts. Reciprocated liking and gaining the approval of someone who was initially unimpressed can be especially rewarding.

Play Saturday: WOW Me.
It was a unique opportunity for 24Slides team members to shine and showcase two of their greatest skills: presenting awesome slide designs (Works of Wonder) and sharing inspiring Words of Wisdom—making it a WOW moment for all the participants and the audience.
Kathleen Raine was a 20th century British poet influenced by Platonism and spirituality. She fell in love with naturalist Gavin Maxwell, but he did not return her affection, causing her great anguish. In her poem "Passion", she describes longing for his voice and feeling disconnected from language and humanity. However, the sky speaks to her and reassures her that she is inherently connected to nature and its eternal rhythms. This realization lifts her from despair into a state of spiritual enlightenment where she sees all things as divine.
The keynote presentation discusses the importance of passion for one's profession as a library media specialist. It provides examples of passionate educators and defines passion as a strong liking, desire, feeling, or conviction. The presentation emphasizes cultivating passion in students by helping them discover their own interests and intrinsic motivations for learning. It also stresses that educators must demonstrate their own passion for literacy, learning, and the field in order to inspire passion in students. Maintaining passion requires lifelong learning, creativity, risk-taking, and commitment to serving students.
This document discusses a passion for baking dog treats. It includes an image of homemade dog treats without providing any other context or details about the baking process, ingredients, or intended message. The brief document leaves the overall topic and purpose unclear with very limited information provided.
Re-ignite Your Passion, Purpose, and Performance and Achieve your GoalsSelf Creation
This document outlines a 7-step process for rediscovering one's true life purpose. Step 1 involves clarifying passions, talents, and values. Step 2 is crystallizing one's purpose and vision through meditation. Step 3 is exploring alignment with possibilities. Step 4 is setting goals and strategies. Step 5 is operationalizing daily behaviors. Step 6 involves commitment and risk-taking. Step 7 is getting ongoing support. The overall message is that discovering one's purpose involves uncovering what is already there, and that purpose combined with passion and performance can help one achieve goals.
Wether you're a freelance designer, or you're working in-house for a design agency or company, you need to be passionate about what you do. In this presentation I'm trying to help upping your passion by a variety of do's and don'ts.
This document discusses finding one's passion. It defines passion as a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something. It advises talking to oneself to identify something that brings lasting happiness, setting goals related to potential passions, and getting out of one's comfort zone to explore new opportunities and test determination. The ultimate purpose is to discover one's driving force and believe in something with such passion that it changes one's life.
The document discusses creating passion in the workplace. It argues that while passion cannot be dictated, organizations should aim to capture people's hearts by making work enjoyable. It suggests locating one's passion, renewing oneself, choosing one's attitude, being present with colleagues, and finding ways to play at work in order to create a passionate and high-performing workplace.
The document questions what the true purpose of life is, as acquiring expensive possessions and food will not fulfill one in the long run. As people grow older, their health declines and memories fade. Instead, the document suggests that truly making an impact and leaving behind a legacy that inspires people for generations is a more worthwhile purpose than fleeting material gains. The question of what the real purpose of one's life remains open.
Despite the myth of "digital natives," most of my students have very little experience using technology as anything more than a consumer device. It doesn't have to be this way. By using the design thinking cycle, teachers can foster creative thinking in every content area.
With the explosion of the maker movement, schools are beginning to embrace creativity. However, what does this mean for assessment? Should we assess the creative process? Should we assess the finished product? Does assessing creativity actually make kids more risk-averse? In this workshop we explore what it means to assess both the creative process and the creative product without leading to risk aversion.
