 Self-Service, On-Demand Business Intelligence is still of major importance

 What is BI and what does it look like?
o The BI Architecture is a multi-discipline environment
 Who / What are some of the main vendors & products in the marketplace?
o There are many, both stack Vendor and Best of Breed

o One Vendor / Product might not satisfy all needs in all disciplines
(expect that you will need multiple tools in your BI toolbox to be successful)

o It is ok to implement multiple tools and mix Best of Breed products in amongst your stack

 QlikView enables fast (response & development), easy to use, self-service, on-demand dashboard,
analysis and ad-hoc search and query capabilities and can be considered Best of Breed in these areas.

 QlikView is not necessarily Best of Breed in all disciplines within the BI Architecture
(Data Warehousing, Production / Financial Reporting, Planning & Forecasting, Data Mining)

 However, QlikView can still also be leveraged in these other areas within the BI Architecture
(Data Staging & Integration, Data Warehousing & Data Provisioning, Metadata Services)
