8 Critical Points of Integration for Oil & Gas OperationsJeff Dyk
The document outlines 8 critical points of integration for oil and gas operations. It emphasizes having a single asset master as the central source of truth and connecting all systems like the AFE system, rig schedule, equipment management, daily activity reporting, production data, profit/loss reporting, and land records to this central asset master. Properly integrating these information systems is important for effective planning, execution, and success of projects as it allows for timely access to key information and greater insights that can maximize production and profitability.
Game developers are increasingly using Twitch to reach new customers. Twitch viewership has grown significantly in recent years, especially among millennial males. Developers are creating original content for Twitch, engaging with streamers, gathering feedback from viewers, and holding tournaments to promote games and build communities. Case studies show how ROBLOX grew its viewership on Twitch from 100,000 to 5 million minutes by empowering its community, and how Digital Extremes takes a collaborative approach, using Twitch to get feedback and make game changes. The presentation encourages developers to embrace the Twitch community for branding, building loyalty, and leveraging streamers to spread their message.

Key elements include a title, headings to structure the argument, a summary, appendices with supporting data, and a cover for longer proposals. The tone should convey enthusiasm for the believable idea using facts, logic, and a sense of urgency.

This document discusses better collaboration between agencies and clients. It notes that historically, agencies did not provide clients with a full understanding of the creative process or ideas, and clients did not know how to properly evaluate work. It advocates that agencies start presentations with the agreed upon creative brief to provide necessary context before presenting ideas. Agencies should tell a story that bridges the brief to the final idea, giving clients a complete understanding. The document also provides models for properly evaluating ideas and ensuring collaborative discussions between agencies and clients.

Generation Z, born in the late 1990s to 2010s, are comfortable with technology and social media is a significant part of their social lives. Understanding Generation Z could impact work in schools. Key issues include:
- Teens may not understand the ramifications of online activity and oversharing personal information.
- Technology blurs contexts and it's important to help teens manage personal information flow and develop skills to navigate social media and an information-rich environment.
- While technology provides social connection, it can also enable addiction, bullying, and drama. Schools should help teens develop focus and critical thinking in this context.

If you are like many people, even the thought of delivering a speech in front of an audience will get your palms sweating. The fear of public speaking ranks high among the most common phobias, and for good reason: most of us approach the situation with the wrong mindset, which in turn makes us live out our worst fears in a public forum.
As Michael Parker notes in IT’S NOT WHAT YOU SAY: How to Sell Your Message When It Matters Most (A TarcherPerigee paperback; on sale January 2016), our fixation on the content of our words – and not the presentation of ourselves – is what brings us down. Once the Vice-Chairman of London’s Saatchi & Saatchi, and one of the world’s most experienced advertising pitch men, having made more than 1,000 pitches in his successful career, Parker has learned first-hand that an effective presentation, a job interview, or even a speech at a wedding hinges on our ability to portray ourselves as passionate, relatable, and collected. But, if we are focused on what we say, and not how we act, we will fail to persuade our audience.
Applied in the boardroom, at the pulpit, or even in conversation, these tenets will help you present better in any situation.
This document summarizes the key findings of a study conducted by Newsworks and PwC on attention to different media types. The study found that traditional print and broadcast media receive more focused attention from consumers compared to digital media. Specifically, newspaper readers were more likely to regularly set time aside for newspapers, feel personally connected to them, and trust their content more than most other media. The sustained attention received made newspaper readers more likely to discuss issues they read about and be influenced regarding purchases. Overall, the study showed that traditional media with higher attention levels can have a more powerful impact on consumers than digital media with less focused attention.

- Checking if submissions are being downvoted and avoiding continued submissions in that case.

Building an enduring, multi-billion dollar consumer technology company is hard. As an investor, knowing which startups have the potential to be massive and long-lasting is also hard. From both perspectives, identifying companies with this potential is a combination of “art” and “science” — the art is understanding how products work, and the science is knowing how to measure it. At the earliest stages of a company, it comes down to understanding how a product is built to maximize and leverage user engagement.

Intelligent Data And Content Visualisation: Missing Link For A More Value-Add...Yoeri Gabriel Callebaut
The document discusses how unified communications (UC) can be improved by leveraging data and insights to influence behaviors and decision making. Traditionally, UC focused on enabling information sharing, but it is proposed that UC can have a more ambitious goal of positively influencing behaviors. The challenges with traditional UC are that data exists across many disparate systems, manual reporting is required to obtain fragmented insights, and decisions are made based on limited information. It is suggested that starting UC with data, insights, and information can help drive better responses and outcomes. Intelligent data visualization is presented as a missing piece that can elevate UC by providing a constant flow of relevant insights across the enterprise.

how to successfully implement a data analytics solution.pdfbasilmph
The adoption of data analytics in business has demonstrated a transformative power in modern entrepreneurship. By analyzing vast reservoirs of data, businesses can make informed decisions, optimize operations and predict trends, thus fueling growth.
• Key things to know before moving to a global model
• Determining what processes should stay at the regional level
• Determine technologies that will support the global model
• Methods for determining the right scope of service for globalized delivery
• Identifying change management strategies
• Measuring the success
This document outlines three steps to driving business efficiency: 1) identify warning signs that current systems are outdated, 2) understand how shifting to a modern integrated system can provide agility and insights, and 3) take action to replace manual processes with a complete business management solution. Key warning signs include spending too much time on reports and reconciling spreadsheets, lacking visibility into data for strategic decisions, and having systems that don't fit unique business needs. Integrated solutions can automate processes, improve collaboration, and provide better reporting and decision making to streamline operations and focus on growth. Companies that upgrade systems can reduce costs, focus on strategy, and gain a competitive advantage.

The document outlines objectives and tasks for information technology (IT) planning, management, operations, development, and security within an organization. The objectives are to establish tools to align IT with strategic goals, improve services, accountability, and security. Management tasks involve creating listener profiles to drive targeted content. IT operations will collect listener data to create data sources and transfer to a data warehouse for analysis. The purpose is to use business analytics to support operational decision-making and achieve business targets.
Organizational Readiness for an Enterprise TaxonomyGary Carlson
Enterprise taxonomies cross organizational, system, and distribution boundaries. Crossing these boundaries presents real challenges to the taxonomist. Any omni-channel strategy or comprehensive portal project will need to address these challenges. Unfortunately, creating and managing the taxonomy itself is usually the least of the problems. Resourcing, organizational alignment, internal politics, and technology all impact the success of a taxonomy project. Identifying the risks and the organizational readiness for a taxonomy project can be a huge factor in the project success. Using real-world examples, this presentation highlights the types of problems that can torpedo a project and provides remedies that companies have used to make the taxonomy project (or more specifically, the omni-channel experience or intranet project) successful.
The best companies boost revenues by not just building advanced pricing analytics programs but also developing relevant capabilities - people, processes, tools. A successful revenue growth program is a journey, and this presentation highlights the four areas where companies need to focus to become leaders. Brian Elliott (CEO of McKinsey Periscope) gave a version of this presentation at the Professional Pricing Society event in Oct., 2014.

This document discusses the importance of managing data effectively and having clean, accurate data. It notes that dirty or unmanaged data can become unreliable very quickly as errors accumulate. It provides examples of what constitutes dirty data like duplicates, missing or inaccurate information. The document recommends having processes and standards for entering data to maintain data quality. These include reconciling donations, using batch numbers, and regular audits to identify dirty data issues. The overall message is that non-profits must treat data as a valuable asset and implement strategies to organize, maintain and protect their data.

Do People Really Know Their Fertility Intentions? Correspondence between Sel...Xiao Xu
Fertility intention data from surveys often serve as a crucial component in modeling fertility behaviors. Yet, the persistent gap between stated intentions and actual fertility decisions, coupled with the prevalence of uncertain responses, has cast doubt on the overall utility of intentions and sparked controversies about their nature. In this study, we use survey data from a representative sample of Dutch women. With the help of open-ended questions (OEQs) on fertility and Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods, we are able to conduct an in-depth analysis of fertility narratives. Specifically, we annotate the (expert) perceived fertility intentions of respondents and compare them to their self-reported intentions from the survey. Through this analysis, we aim to reveal the disparities between self-reported intentions and the narratives. Furthermore, by applying neural topic modeling methods, we could uncover which topics and characteristics are more prevalent among respondents who exhibit a significant discrepancy between their stated intentions and their probable future behavior, as reflected in their narratives.

Issues with Siloed
(Un-integrated) Data
It is common for E&P companies
to use multiple vendors for
different aspects of the well life
cycle. But when data from those
systems is not integrated, it can
result in (among other things):
• Budget overspending
• Under-spent capital can’t be reinvested
• Multiple data entries (resulting in errors)
• Inaccurate or dated reporting
• Delays in the form of work stoppages or
cross-departmental challenges
• Reporting that has to be manually
compiled

Data Integration is Key
Data that has a single point of truth empowers
your operation across all departments. It allows
you to react to operational problems quickly, avoid
errors and bottlenecks, and identify and exploit
profitable opportunities.
Total Asset Manager™ integrates with your
designated oil and gas applications—including
spreadsheets—and establishes a central
repository of information. Data can then be
pulled from these applications. From there, it
is configured into useful business intelligence,
performance metrics, and reports that are
displayed on the dashboard. This gives the ability
to readily share information across disciplines
and departments. Updates and allocations are
automatically performed as soon as data becomes
available, making reports up-to-date and accurate.
7. Realistically define the benefits of working with
the right technology, people, and processes.
Here are a few benefits to get you started:
• Higher return on invested capital
• Better use of team skills to execute decisions
• Information in real-time for tighter controls in costs and revenues
• Improved use of human resources through defined processes
• A team rallied around a vision with passion always gets better results
• Flexibility to make rapid decisions
1
8. Create a road map to execute the vision.
2
Make a detailed plan that will allow you to arrive at your goals.
Here are some questions to ask yourself:
• What makes your business work?
• Why does it exist? Solicit employee input.
• What do you want in the next 3 to 5 years? Do you want to improve employee
retention, grow your company, increase profits, give back to community, improve
environment, etc.?
• What will it take to get there? Be specific.
Put your plan in writing and make sure that you can measure
what you aim for. Say who is going to do what and set a time line.
9. Build the team to travel the road map to its
success.3
Having unity for your vision across your operation will allow all personnel
to feel confident and eager in their roles, and build solidarity in striving
for the same level of excellence.
• Delegate key personnel to lead the charge in supporting your vision. These people will keep
everyone involved through the entire process and following a common goal.
• Select the right team carefully. Make sure they have the skills for the job in hand and a mixture
of people with different abilities. Together they should represent all the skills you will need.
Make sure they have the ability to get along well with others.
• Clearly define your expectations for chain of command, responsibilities, and reporting
structures at the onset. Delegate tasks to the right person and make it clear who has the
authority in that task.
• Make sure your goals are clearly understood. Set early goals that are achievable to empower
your team.
• Communicate... Cooperate... Communicate... Cooperate
10. Sustain success through solid processes.
4
The processes you create will help ensure a reduction in errors,
increased communication (and availability of information), reduce
downtime, increase productivity, and help you address all situations
quickly and decisively.
11. Consistency in collecting data
Clarity in every piece of data captured
Continuity in technical and human processes
Collaboration across disciplines and departments
Which leads to...
With your plan and processes in place,
you will experience
13. GAIN INSIGHTS THAT WILL MAXIMIZE
YOUR PRODUCTION AND OPERATIONS.
