2. At the end of the lesson students will be able to:  Identify the basic parts of a plants. OBJECTIVES

4.  What do the roots do?  How do the roots help keep a plant alive?  What purpose do leaves serve?  What does the stem do?  What do flowers do?

5. ROOTS Hold the plant into the soil. They take in water and minerals to help the plant stay alive.

6. Leaves  Take in air and light that plants need to make food.

7. Flower  Make seeds for new plants to grow.

8. Stem Moves water through the plants.  Supports the plants above the ground.
