Indian tourism and hospitality sector - Evolution over the years _ Promiller ...Promiller
At present time the tourism sector is one of the most vibrant tertiary activities and a multi-billion industry in India but the evolution of the tourism and hospitality sector took thousands of years to reach the current level. In ancient times, people used to travel a lot in search of food, trade or even education but, at that time it was just limited to nearby places for various reasons like unavailability of proper roads, transportation systems and even lack of knowledge about places and routes. Today tourism has acquired many dimensions as it is an efficient and profitable means to develop economic activity in many countries. Because of this increasing demand and popularity among people, proper attention is now given to providing all the facilities needed by the tourists which include but are not limited to transportation, food and beverages, accommodation and comfort. The Indian tourism industry will continue to grow at the fastest pace in the coming years but it may have to cope up with several challenges which will limit its growth.
India’s great competitive strength from a tourism point of view is its ancient and yet living civilization, the rich and natural rural landscape, cultural diversity of its people through its languages, cuisines, tradition, customs etc. The economic development of any nation, whether developed, developing or under-developed country, is significantly influenced by its tourism sector. The main aim of the government was always to enhance and maintain the competitiveness of India as a tourist destination. The employment potential is certainly the highest in the tourism sector as compared to any other sector and India has the potential to more than triple its travel and tourism job. As a result, the tourism sector is attracting a large number of visitors to India and generating a large number of employment and income-earning opportunities.

Effect of Tourism on Economic Wellbeing of Host Communities in Cross River St...ijtsrd
This study examined the effect of tourism on economic wellbeing of host communities in Cross River State, Nigeria. The study modelled the effect of service, product, hotels, transportation and infrastructural facilities on economic well being of host communities in Cross River State. It is a descriptive survey on a sample of 400 respondents from the host communities. Data obtained for the study were analyzed using percentages, mean, standard deviation and regression analysis. From the result of the regression model it was observed that product, service and infrastructure have positive impact on the on the economic well being of the host communities. This means that if product, service and infrastructure are developed and improved, it will bring about more increase in the economic well being of the host communities. On the other hand, hotels and transportation have a negative impact on the economic wellbeing of the host communities. Thus, increase in hotels and transportation cost will bring about a decline in the economic wellbeing of the host communities. The overall significance of the model also supports the alternate hypothesis that the model has goodness of fit and is statistically significant. In other words, tourism consumption has significant impact on the economic wellbeing of the host communities. Based on the analysis and findings of the study the following recommendations are made Since tourism consumption has become imperative for economies to thrive successfully, it is imperative that government should develop and as well as regulate operators in the tourism destination to step up the quality of product, service and infrastructure provided in the tourist destination. This is because they have been found to have positive impact on the on the economic well being of the host communities. The government should also come up with policy instruments containing measures that will effectively' monitor and evaluate the operations of tourism destinations. This is necessary as this research manifest the fact that hotels and transportation cost negatively affects the host communities. In other words it will bring about a decline in the economic wellbeing of the host communities if not regulated. This document discusses microfinance banks and their role in promoting financial inclusion and empowerment in rural communities. It argues that microfinance banks can play a unique role in intermediating loans for rural businesses and farmers by gathering and analyzing local information at a lower cost than larger banks, thanks to technological advances. However, microfinance banks in Nigeria are not fully fulfilling this role and poverty alleviation potential. They are not sufficiently involved in local development projects, not targeting poor rural borrowers, and not operating as development banks focused on poverty reduction. The document recommends that microfinance banks become more actively involved in their communities and ensure loans are used for intended projects to better promote rural development.

Social media and optimization of the promotion of Lake Toba tourism destinati...CSITiaesprime
Tourism is one of the largest contributors to Indonesia's foreign exchange earnings, surpassing taxation, energy, and gas. This study seeks to investigate the use of social media to optimize the promotion of Lake Toba as a tourist destination, which has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Using interview techniques and live field observations, it was discovered that social media, particularly the Instagram platform, play a significant role in promoting Lake Toba tourism. The Department of Culture and Tourism of the North Sumatra Province uses landscape photography as its primary promotion method, which has proved to be more effective and interesting than conventional methods such as the distribution of brochures or the use of manuals. The capture procedure and techniques for landscape photography were carried out by professional photographers in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism of the North Sumatra Province. In addition to providing information, tourism sumut's Instagram account functions as a platform to raise public awareness about Lake Toba tourism and as a promotional medium for North Sumatra's tourist attractions on an international scale. Department of Culture and Tourism of the North Sumatra Province collaborates with travel agencies and local communities to disseminate Lake Toba tourism information.

3. Introduction
Tourism stands as a vital catalyst for the advancement of many towns worldwide,
fostering economic growth and fostering cultural exchange. This phenomenon isn't
unique to Sariaya, Quezon, a serene town in the Philippines. Similar to the earlier
passage, the mention of brooks, streams, and springs creates an idyllic and nature-rich
ambiance, attracting tourists to Sariaya in search of an escape from urban life. This
picturesque imagery resonates with the allure of rural tourism, emphasizing serene
landscapes and untouched environments that offer a chance for relaxation amidst
nature's beauty, serving as a source of inspiration for visitors.

and its Background
4. Introduction
Established in 1599, Sariaya is renowned for its well-preserved Spanish colonial-era
residences, providing visitors with a captivating journey through history. These
architectural marvels offer an immersive experience, allowing guests to engage with the
town's vibrant historical narrative. Sariaya boasts a vibrant cultural tapestry characterized
by genuine warmth and a strong sense of community among its residents.
Lumina Homes (2022) hailed Sariaya as the Heritage Capital of Quezon, lauding its
blend of coastal and mountainous vistas. With a rich colonial legacy and numerous tales
surrounding its nomenclature, the town presents various outdoor activities and stunning
views of the Tayabas Bay shoreline.

and its Background
5. Introduction
Sariaya's emergence as a sought-after tourist destination is the result of deliberate
efforts by both the government and local community to unlock its latent potential.
Despite its recognition as a promising tourist hub, the Sariaya administration and
tourism board are committed to further enhancing its allure while vigilantly preserving its
natural beauty. The town's strategic budget allocation plays a pivotal role in bolstering
the tourism sector, ensuring effective marketing and development activities that drive
economic growth. This research aims to dissect the efficacy of budgetary resources and
their influence on the sustained growth of Sariaya's tourism industry, shedding light on
fiscal planning's role in fostering long-term economic and social development.

6. Review of Related Literatures and Studies
According to Ricafort, M.V. et al. (2020): the tourist has variety of reasons to travel.
They have many expectations that need to please and convince. The situation is not
always on how it suits to them but rather it should be more than to what they think.
Enough is not enough but there could be more to what they expect. It always suits to
their perception and preferences. Since the marketing strategies were being measured
in its effectiveness which has a positive response of establishment in support facilities
and services
Morton, C. (2018): explains that the tourism marketing primarily involves the use of
fundamental marketing tactics and particular strategies to promote and increase tourist
influx. The tourism marketing is associated to the location marketing of the tourism
resources and how the marketing was executed

and its Background
7. Review of Related Literatures and Studies
Rostrata (2021): investigates the economic repercussions of tourism in the Philippines,
underscoring that tourism is a composite of businesses across diverse sectors.
Employing an input-output model, the study evaluates the economic consequences of
tourism using indicators like output, income, indirect taxes, and import/export. The
research identifies significant tourism sub-sectors and associated industries, revealing
that the accommodation sector possesses the most substantial output multiplier, while
the entertainment/recreation sector boasts the highest income and tax multiplier.
According to Takashi et al. (2019): Ongoing infrastructure improvements, particularly
in water and electricity supply, are being implemented to reinforce this positive trend.
The tourism sector has been instrumental in generating employment opportunities for
local inhabitants, who are now engaged in diverse roles within tourism-related facilities
and services. This transition has presented a viable and enduring income source,
spurred by the heightened demand for seafood in restaurants and other establishments
associated with the tourism industry.

and its Background
8. Review of Related Literatures and Studies
Gutierrez (2019): explains that community-based tourism (CBT) initiatives in the
Philippines address the unequal distribution of benefits and negative impacts associated
with tourism development. These initiatives offer several benefits, including economic
growth, empowerment of local communities through involvement in decision-making,
poverty alleviation through job creation, and the promotion of sustainable development
practices. Additionally, CBT focuses on preserving and promoting local heritage, history,
and culture while ensuring an equitable distribution of tourism benefits across all
segments of society, including the poorest members.
Awasthi (2018):explains that the tourism in rural areas also faces challenges. Rural
tourism in India faces a set of challenges that collectively hinder its development and
sustainability. A major obstacle is the insufficient support from the government, with rural
tourism struggling to secure the necessary funding, policies, and initiatives required for
thriving. Additionally, the scarcity of entrepreneurial skills in rural communities obstructs
the progress of tourism-related ventures. The absence of individuals possessing the
knowledge and expertise to establish and manage tourism businesses impedes the
sector's advancement.

and challenges inherent to Sariaya. As a result, this study seeks to fill the gap by diving
into the intricate features of government budget distribution in Sariaya, Quezon. The
primary goal is to examine the effectiveness of such budgetary measures, with a focus
on their role in fostering sustainable growth in the local tourist sector. As a result, the
research strives to give a more comprehensive knowledge of how governmental finance
policies might be adjusted to support and increase sustainable tourist development in
Sariaya's distinctive socioeconomic and natural settings.
