Abstract
A weather monitoring system using Arduino can be used to measure and record
various weather parameters such as temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed
and direction, and precipitation. The system can be implemented using a variety of
sensors and devices such as temperature and humidity sensors, a barometric
pressure sensor, an anemometer and wind vane for measuring wind speed and
direction, and a rain gauge for measuring precipitation. The data collected by the
sensors can be logged and displayed on a display screen or computer, or it can be
transmitted wirelessly to a remote location for further analysis and storage. The
system can be used for a variety of purposes such as monitoring weather conditions
for agriculture, aviation, or emergency management, or for studying the impact of
weather on the environment.
Introduction
• Weather forecasting is the application of science and technology to predict the
state of the atmosphere for a given location.
• Human beings have attempted to predict the weather informally for millennium
and formally since the nineteenth century.
• Weather forecasts are made by collecting quantitative data about the current
state of the atmosphere on a given place and using scientific understanding of
atmospheric processes
• In this system we monitor the temperature and humidity using DHT11 sensor
and Arduino Uno
LITERATURE SURVEY
Arduino Based Weather Monitoring System by Jitendra Singh, Rehan
Mohammed, Mradul Kankaria, Roshan Panchal, Sachin Singh, Rahul
Sharma. They have presented an automated system for weather
monitoring which uses different sensors like DHT11, Light dependent
resistor and Rain sensor.
• These include providing weather forecasts for the public, helping
organizations make informed decisions about operations and
activities, and supporting research and development efforts in the
fields of meteorology and atmospheric science.
• There have been numerous studies and research articles published on the topic of
weather monitoring systems.
• Some key areas of focus in this literature include the design and implementation of
weather monitoring systems, the accuracy and reliability of the data collected by
these systems, and the various applications of weather monitoring systems in
different settings.

Operation
• Connect the various sensors and devices to the Arduino board
according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Write and upload a program to the Arduino board using a computer
and a USB connection. The program should include the necessary
code to communicate with the sensors and devices and to collect and
process the data from them.
• Set up a display screen or computer to display the collected data.
This may involve connecting the Arduino board to the display device
using a USB or serial connection, or setting up a wireless connection
such as Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
• Run the program on the Arduino board to start collecting and
processing the data from the sensors and devices. The collected
data can be displayed in real-time on the display screen or
computer, or it can be logged to a file for later analysis.
• Optionally, the collected data can be transmitted wirelessly to a
remote location for further analysis and storage. This may involve
setting up a wireless module such as a cellular modem or a Wi-Fi
module, and writing code to transmit the data over the wireless
connection.
• Periodically check and maintain the sensors and devices to ensure
that they are functioning properly and to replace any that have
failed.
• Optionally, the collected data can be used to trigger alerts or
notifications based on certain conditions. For example, the system
could be programmed to send an alert if the temperature falls below
a certain threshold, or if the wind speed exceeds a certain level.

Conclusion
This concludes that the present work was a success, and it will provide
a competent method for recording real time weather readings and help
farmers whose livelihood depends on the weather in a country like
India to produce better quality crops. It can be used to gather
information about the requirements for each area over the years. The
gathered information is used to determine the optimal conditions for
plants to grow and the farmer can modify the environment suitable for
the growth of the plant.
Future Scope
The future of this system is very wide. Same system can be applicable
to the variety of applications like Data monitoring, sending and
controlling of data at remote location.

Abstract A weather monitoring system using Arduino can be used to measure and record various weather parameters such as temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed and direction, and precipitation. The system can be implemented using a variety of sensors and devices such as temperature and humidity sensors, a barometric pressure sensor, an anemometer and wind vane for measuring wind speed and direction, and a rain gauge for measuring precipitation. The data collected by the sensors can be logged and displayed on a display screen or computer, or it can be transmitted wirelessly to a remote location for further analysis and storage. The system can be used for a variety of purposes such as monitoring weather conditions for agriculture, aviation, or emergency management, or for studying the impact of weather on the environment.

Introduction • Weather forecasting is the application of science and technology to predict the state of the atmosphere for a given location. • Human beings have attempted to predict the weather informally for millennium and formally since the nineteenth century. • Weather forecasts are made by collecting quantitative data about the current state of the atmosphere on a given place and using scientific understanding of atmospheric processes • In this system we monitor the temperature and humidity using DHT11 sensor and Arduino Uno
  • 5. LITERATURE SURVEY Arduino Based Weather Monitoring System by Jitendra Singh, Rehan Mohammed, Mradul Kankaria, Roshan Panchal, Sachin Singh, Rahul Sharma. They have presented an automated system for weather monitoring which uses different sensors like DHT11, Light dependent resistor and Rain sensor. • These include providing weather forecasts for the public, helping organizations make informed decisions about operations and activities, and supporting research and development efforts in the fields of meteorology and atmospheric science.
  • 6. • There have been numerous studies and research articles published on the topic of weather monitoring systems. • Some key areas of focus in this literature include the design and implementation of weather monitoring systems, the accuracy and reliability of the data collected by these systems, and the various applications of weather monitoring systems in different settings. 2/12/2024 6

Operation • Connect the various sensors and devices to the Arduino board according to the manufacturer’s instructions. • Write and upload a program to the Arduino board using a computer and a USB connection. The program should include the necessary code to communicate with the sensors and devices and to collect and process the data from them. • Set up a display screen or computer to display the collected data. This may involve connecting the Arduino board to the display device using a USB or serial connection, or setting up a wireless connection such as Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
  • 10. • Run the program on the Arduino board to start collecting and processing the data from the sensors and devices. The collected data can be displayed in real-time on the display screen or computer, or it can be logged to a file for later analysis. • Optionally, the collected data can be transmitted wirelessly to a remote location for further analysis and storage. This may involve setting up a wireless module such as a cellular modem or a Wi-Fi module, and writing code to transmit the data over the wireless connection.
  • 11. • Periodically check and maintain the sensors and devices to ensure that they are functioning properly and to replace any that have failed. • Optionally, the collected data can be used to trigger alerts or notifications based on certain conditions. For example, the system could be programmed to send an alert if the temperature falls below a certain threshold, or if the wind speed exceeds a certain level.

Conclusion This concludes that the present work was a success, and it will provide a competent method for recording real time weather readings and help farmers whose livelihood depends on the weather in a country like India to produce better quality crops. It can be used to gather information about the requirements for each area over the years. The gathered information is used to determine the optimal conditions for plants to grow and the farmer can modify the environment suitable for the growth of the plant.
  • 17. Future Scope The future of this system is very wide. Same system can be applicable to the variety of applications like Data monitoring, sending and controlling of data at remote location.
