School management system project Report.pdfKamal Acharya
Education system forms the backbone of every nation. And hence it is important to provide a strong educational foundation to the young generation to ensure the development of open-minded global citizens securing the future for everyone. Advanced technology available today can play a crucial role in streamlining education-related processes to promote solidarity among students, teachers and the school staff. School Management System(SMS) consists of tasks such as registering students, attendance record keeping to control absentees, producing report cards, producing official transcript, preparing timetable and producing different reports for teachers, officials from Dr.Mohiuddin Education foundation and other stakeholders. Automation is the utilization of technology to replace human with a machine that can perform more quickly and more continuously. By automating SMS documents that took up many large storage rooms can be stored on few disks. Transcript images can be annotate. It reduces the time to retrieve old transcripts from hours to seconds.
The document summarizes a study on improving Notre Dame University's outdated student information system to address issues with the registration process. It found that 88% of students surveyed advocated for an upgrade, as the current system causes complications and difficulties registering for courses. Interviews with IT directors revealed the system was made in 2001 and can only support 25 simultaneous users. Recommendations included disabling certain tracking features to reduce crashes and implementing internal confirmations between departments to provide a more efficient registration experience for students.

according to the CBGS system. The necessity of this system is to ease the process of result generation and once the data is fed in
the system, could be used to calculate the result and generate it in the desired format. We can analyze this data and generate
various reports needed using some data mining techniques. The objective is to generate result that will be semester wise for each
student. Analyzing these reports would give various parameters such as students passing or failing, semester wise as well as
subject wise. The software will be accessible only to authorized users so that security could be maintained.

Lessons Learned from Data Preparation for Geographic Information Systems Usin...Jun Iio
This slide is used for OpenSym2018 held at Paris, 22nd-24th, Aug. 2018.
The use of geographic information systems (GISs) has become widespread in data-driven industries, and they are utilized to visualize various kinds of spatial data using mappings. In addition to a large amount of available open-source GIS software, various types of data (e.g., boundary data for administrative regions, numerical data for individual areas, and data representing the objects on a map) are provided by local governments as open data. However, in many cases, the data have been inadequately maintained. Thus, advance preparation is required to utilize the data effectively. This paper discusses the work required to utilize open data by considering the case studies of Hachioji-city, Tokyo, Japan.

Elasticity vs. State? Exploring Kafka Streams Cassandra State StoreScyllaDB
kafka-streams-cassandra-state-store' is a drop-in Kafka Streams State Store implementation that persists data to Apache Cassandra.
By moving the state to an external datastore the stateful streams app (from a deployment point of view) effectively becomes stateless. This greatly improves elasticity and allows for fluent CI/CD (rolling upgrades, security patching, pod eviction, ...).
It also can also help to reduce failure recovery and rebalancing downtimes, with demos showing sporty 100ms rebalancing downtimes for your stateful Kafka Streams application, no matter the size of the application’s state.
As a bonus accessing Cassandra State Stores via 'Interactive Queries' (e.g. exposing via REST API) is simple and efficient since there's no need for an RPC layer proxying and fanning out requests to all instances of your streams application.
Radically Outperforming DynamoDB @ Digital Turbine with SADA and Google CloudScyllaDB
Digital Turbine, the Leading Mobile Growth & Monetization Platform, did the analysis and made the leap from DynamoDB to ScyllaDB Cloud on GCP. Suffice it to say, they stuck the landing. QR Secure: A Hybrid Approach Using Machine Learning and Security Validation F...AlexanderRichford
QR Secure: A Hybrid Approach Using Machine Learning and Security Validation Functions to Prevent Interaction with Malicious QR Codes.
Aim of the Study: The goal of this research was to develop a robust hybrid approach for identifying malicious and insecure URLs derived from QR codes, ensuring safe interactions.
This is achieved through:
Machine Learning Model: Predicts the likelihood of a URL being malicious.
Security Validation Functions: Ensures the derived URL has a valid certificate and proper URL format.
This innovative blend of technology aims to enhance cybersecurity measures and protect users from potential threats hidden within QR codes 🖥 🔒
This study was my first introduction to using ML which has shown me the immense potential of ML in creating more secure digital environments!
Conversational agents, or chatbots, are increasingly used to access all sorts of services using natural language. While open-domain chatbots - like ChatGPT - can converse on any topic, task-oriented chatbots - the focus of this paper - are designed for specific tasks, like booking a flight, obtaining customer support, or setting an appointment. Like any other software, task-oriented chatbots need to be properly tested, usually by defining and executing test scenarios (i.e., sequences of user-chatbot interactions). However, there is currently a lack of methods to quantify the completeness and strength of such test scenarios, which can lead to low-quality tests, and hence to buggy chatbots.
To fill this gap, we propose adapting mutation testing (MuT) for task-oriented chatbots. To this end, we introduce a set of mutation operators that emulate faults in chatbot designs, an architecture that enables MuT on chatbots built using heterogeneous technologies, and a practical realisation as an Eclipse plugin. Moreover, we evaluate the applicability, effectiveness and efficiency of our approach on open-source chatbots, with promising results.
