The document proposes a Student Management System (SMS) as an extension to the existing Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) to manage student details for dental and mental health colleges and hospitals. The SMS would track all details of students from enrollment through course completion, including academic reports, course details, batch details, and other resources. It would have databases for courses offered, faculty, and extensive student information to generate a variety of reports related to students, batches, courses, quotas, semesters, and the overall college.

Project Id: 32 Abstract CCET (IT) i ABSTRACT STUDENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AN EXTENSION TO HMIS The Government identified the quality health services and the efficiency of government managed hospitals as key contributors for building trust and confidence for the general hospitals in the heart of the citizen of the state. The Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) has been envisaged to not only help the administrators to have better monitoring and control of the functioning of hospitals across the state using decision support indicators but also assist the doctors and medical staff to improve health services with readily reference patient data, work flow enabled less-paper process and parameterized alarm and triggers while treatment cycle. With the extension of Dental and Mental Hospitals in HMIS, an additional task of Student Management for the Dental and Mental College cum Hospitals is to be managed. The Student Management System (SMS) deals with all kinds of student details, academic related reports, course details, batch details and other resources related details too. Student Management System (SMS) tracks all the details of a student from the day one to the end of his course which can be used for all reporting purpose, tracking enrolment, progress in the course, completed semesters years, final exam results and all these will be available for future references too. Our project will have the databases of courses offered by the college under all levels of graduation or main streams related to Dental Course, teacher or faculty details, students’ details in all aspects. Different reports and Queries can be generated based of vast options related to students, batch, course, quota, semesters and category and even for the entire college.

Abstract

  • 1. Project Id: 32 Abstract CCET (IT) i ABSTRACT STUDENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AN EXTENSION TO HMIS The Government identified the quality health services and the efficiency of government managed hospitals as key contributors for building trust and confidence for the general hospitals in the heart of the citizen of the state. The Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) has been envisaged to not only help the administrators to have better monitoring and control of the functioning of hospitals across the state using decision support indicators but also assist the doctors and medical staff to improve health services with readily reference patient data, work flow enabled less-paper process and parameterized alarm and triggers while treatment cycle. With the extension of Dental and Mental Hospitals in HMIS, an additional task of Student Management for the Dental and Mental College cum Hospitals is to be managed. The Student Management System (SMS) deals with all kinds of student details, academic related reports, course details, batch details and other resources related details too. Student Management System (SMS) tracks all the details of a student from the day one to the end of his course which can be used for all reporting purpose, tracking enrolment, progress in the course, completed semesters years, final exam results and all these will be available for future references too. Our project will have the databases of courses offered by the college under all levels of graduation or main streams related to Dental Course, teacher or faculty details, students’ details in all aspects. Different reports and Queries can be generated based of vast options related to students, batch, course, quota, semesters and category and even for the entire college.
