It’s here! #Digital2024 has landed, with 550+ pages of digital, social, mobile and ecommerce data and trends - and a major milestone for social media users. Here are some of the highlights: ⭐️ There are now more than 5 billion social media user identities - equivalent to 62% of the world’s population. 📱Social media users spend an average of 2 hours and 23 minutes a day on social platforms. 🥇 Instagram is now the world’s ‘favourite’ social platform, taking the crown from last year’s winner, WhatsApp. 👀TikTok’s most popular hashtag (#fyp) has over 55.5 TRILLION views ⌚TikTok tops the ‘time spent’ charts with an incredible 34 hours per month on average spent in its Android app - that’s more than an hour per day. ⬆️ Average daily time online has risen by 3 minutes over the past twelve months to 6 hours 40 minutes. 🤑 Facebook grew its global ad reach by more than 200 million over the past 12 months, delivering year-on-year growth of 10.5%. New work alert!! The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is a powerhouse when it comes to camera and AI features, and we wanted to showcase its potential in a setting where photography is notoriously challenging. So we turned a pop superstar’s live tour into the ultimate product demonstration. We mobilised an army of influencers in three different cities to film three live performances on Tate McRae’s tour. Each influencer shared content to their own channels that we then collated into the first crowd-sourced music video for Tate’s song ‘Think Later’.
