Terror is a genre that is in an unstoppable state of grace. In recent years, films like Barbarian, Midsommar, Get Out or Sister Death have been made, which demonstrate that horror is still in top form. But there is another top-notch film that aims to become a great franchise: Smile.
In 2022, the movie Parker Finn became a huge success and generated all kinds of nightmares thanks to a beastly premise. And, as it couldn’t be otherwise, the movie will have a sequel. Smile 2 is scheduled for October 18, 2024, and Finn will return as director. Here is the new trailer:
What will Smile 2 be about?
The teaser aligns with the campaign generated by the creators of Smile 2, based on creating the social media presence of an enigmatic pop star named Skye Riley. In her posts, Riley hints at the release of her new single Blood on White Satin, scheduled for June 18th. The photos posted on the account include close-ups and shadows that evoke Naomi Scott, the lead actress of the sequel. The first image posted showed a crescent moon in the shape of a smile, which could be a direct allusion to the Smile franchise.
