Netflix has one of the best horror catalogs of all streaming platforms. On one hand, it has some of the best series in the genre, thanks to allies like Mike Flanagan. On the other hand, it also has some top-notch movies in its catalog that arrive on the VOD service shortly after their release.
Now, however, one of the best movies in this category is about to be removed. Don’t Breathe, directed by Fede Álvarez, will only be available until June 30th. So, you have very few days left to watch it before it’s taken down.

It will leave you breathless
Don’t Breathe is a horror and suspense film that has earned a prominent place in the genre thanks to the masterful direction of Fede Álvarez, who takes a rather simple premise to a place we couldn’t imagine.
The story follows three young thieves who plan to rob the house of a blind man, thinking it will be an easy job. However, the unexpected twist is that this man, masterfully played by Stephen Lang, turns out to be much more dangerous than they imagined. With this simple premise, Fede Álvarez demonstrates his ability to create tension and suspense, using the limited space of the house to intensify the claustrophobia and danger.

The scenes are meticulously designed to keep the audience on the edge of their seat, playing with perception and fear. In addition, the performances are exceptional, with a terrifying Stephen Lang. But beyond the scares and action, the film also raises ethical and moral questions about justice and revenge, adding an additional depth to the story.
Without a doubt, it’s worth taking a look at Don’t Breathe before it’s removed from Netflix’s catalog. It was a shame that the sequel didn’t live up to the original, but at least it served to launch the director’s career, and now it’s confirmed with the upcoming Alien: Romulus.
