CSDP - An Online portal to create an integrated information technology environment for students, HOD, faculty, Staff and administration. Goal is to focus on customer’s services and integration for end-users.
This document summarizes a project to create a computer science department portal using ASP.net technology. The portal will have modules for administrators, faculty, and students. Administrators can manage user profiles and post notices. Faculty can upload e-books and materials and interact with students. Students can view faculty profiles, download documents, and generate resumes. The portal will use a SQL Server backend and ASP.net for the frontend to allow users to access information from multiple systems through a web interface.
The application allows students to register and then search the data based on different criteria. Also it has the benefit of having a centralized database and up to date information. A user can easily obtain information about other registered users.

AN INTERACTIVE ONLINE TRAINING COURSE FOR SQL BEGINNERSIJITE
Information and Communication Technologies have been used to support education in several levels, due
to the need of new ways to access learning resources. Some representative examples of these new learning
resources are online training courses, which guide the learning process of students through a series of
activities to be carried out by themselves. This paper presents an interactive online training course for
learning SQL, which is a widely used language for relational database management. The online course
allows students to learn SQL through explanations and interactive examples, which are executed by an
interpreter, and the results of the executions are visualized directly on the same online course. All
registered students have their own database created dynamically, which gives them freedom of modifying
the examples of the training course to experiment with different SQL sentences, without affecting other
students.

What is Web Portal?
A Web Portal is a specially designed website which brings information together from various sources in a uniform way.
They can be accessed from multiple platforms like personal computers, smartphones, and other electronic devices.
Why are Portals important?
• Efficiently deliver information to the audience.
• Provides customizable features and development tools.
• Increase interaction between customers and employees.
• Eliminating the need for multiple logins.
Types Of Web Portals
• Vertical Portals- These portals covers a particular market (one definite industry or domain).
• Horizontal Portals- These portals focus on a wide array of interests and topics, often referred as “mega portals”.
• Enterprise Portals- Developed and maintained for use by the members of intranet or enterprise network.
• Knowledge Portals- Increase the effectiveness of knowledge by providing easy access to information that is helpful to them in one or more specific roles.
• Market Space Portals- These portals exist to support the business to business, and business to customer e-commerce etc to find and access rich information about the products.
and much more…
Advantages of Web Portals
Easy for users to customize personal places.
Supports users in multiple tasks.
Easy to use design interface.
Help to connect the community.
The powerful back end.
Flexible content and layout.
Disadvantages of Web Portals
High complexity and additional testing efforts.
Somewhere complex to setup.
Re-authentication when using multiple systems.
Customizing portals and integrating applications.
Developers need additional skills besides using a web framework.
Additional costs.
How is Web Portal different from Website?
Personal Login is required in Web Portal, while not on the website.
Dynamic Content changes more frequently than proper websites.
Website is a public interface while Web Portal is public, private(intranet etc…)
Content is generally focused on websites while Web Portal offers content from diverse sources.
Web Portal supports the user in multiple tasks while website supports the user in the specific task.
Future of Web Portal
As the use of electronic devices is increasing, people are moving digital. Traffic on the web is increasing day by day.
Flexible content and layout along with supporting users in multiple tasks and for much more, Web Portal is proved to be an essential tool for the digitalization of a community, business or an organization.
At RG Infotech, we design fully customized web portals for the unique business requirements. Contact us- www.rginfotechnology.com
A portal is a website that works as a single source for all info on a particular domain. An effective Web portal deals with the user a broad array of information, organized in a way that is most convenient for the user to use. When planned, executed and maintained correctly a web portal becomes the entry point of a web user introducing him into several information, resources and other sites in the internet.

This document summarizes Rachel Andrew's presentation on CSS Grid Layout. Some key points:
- CSS Grid Layout provides a new two-dimensional layout system for CSS that solves many of the problems of previous methods like floats and flexbox.
- Grid uses line-based placement, with grid lines that can be explicit or implicit, to position items on the page. Properties like grid-column and grid-row position items within the grid.
- The grid template establishes the structure of rows and columns. Items can span multiple tracks. Fraction units like fr distribute space proportionally.
- Common layouts like Holy Grail are easily achieved with Grid. The structure can also adapt at breakpoints by redefining
Hotel management or reservation system document prabhat kumar

This document provides an introduction to ASP.NET, including:
1. It explains some of the limitations of traditional ASP like interpreted code, mixing of HTML and logic, and lack of state management.
2. It then introduces ASP.NET as Microsoft's solution to these problems, providing advantages like separation of code and HTML, support for compiled languages, and improved state management.
3. It provides an overview of the ASP.NET architecture and programming model, explaining concepts like web forms, server controls, and the page execution cycle.
Dairy management system project report..pdfKamal Acharya
ASP.NET is the next version of Active Server Pages (ASP); it is a unified Web development platform that provides the services necessary for developers to build enterprise-class Web applications. While ASP.NET is largely syntax compatible, it also provides a new programming model and infrastructure for more secure, scalable, and stable applications. ASP.NET is a compiled, NET-based environment, we can author applications in any .NET compatible language, including Visual Basic .NET, C#, and JScript .NET. Additionally, the entire .NET Framework is available to any ASP.NET application. Developers can easily access the benefits of these technologies, which include the managed common language runtime environment (CLR), type safety, inheritance, and so on. ASP.NET has been designed to work seamlessly with WYSIWYG HTML editors and other programming tools, including Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. Not only does this make Web development easier, but it also provides all the benefits that these tools have to offer, including a GUI that developers can use to drop server controls onto a Web page and fully integrated debugging support.

2. ASP.Net?
A Microsoft strategy and new technology for delivering software services to the desktop and to
the web
Components include:
MS Intermediate Language; all code is complied into a more abstract, trimmed version
before execution. All .NET languages are compiled to MSIL – the common language of .NET
The CLR- common language runtime; responsible for executing MSIL code; interfaces to
Windows and IIS
A rich set of libraries (Framework Class Libraries) available to all .NET languages
The .NET languages such as C#, VB.NET etc that conform to CLR
ASP.NET is how the Framework is exposed to the web, using IIS to manage simple pages of
code so that they can be complied into full .NET programs. These generate HTML for the
browser.
5. How ASP.NET works?
When .NET is installed, IIS is configured to look for files with the .aspx extension and to use
the ASP.NET module (aspnet_isapi.dll) to handle them.
ASP.NET parses the .aspx file and arranges it in a predefined class definition and generates
an asp.net page object.
The page object generates html that is sent back to IIS and then the browser.
NOTE: only .aspx files are parsed (if it is pure html don’t save it as an aspx file as it will slow
down the server.
