• Westpac is an Australian bank and financial-services provider headquartered in
Westpac Place, Sydney, New South Wales. It is one of Australia's Big Four Banks and
is also the second-largest bank in New Zealand.
• Detica Remediation Project is about to every change in the current scenario and
modules of the Norkom tools and its applications related to Westpac Banking
Corporation. Here Change Requests (new requirements from the client) come from
the Westpac Tech Leads and according to every change request (CR), we have to
develop/modify modules, applications, workflows, DB Scripts, Look-up tables etc. All
these changes in Norkom take roles in the AML process for the Westpac.
Responsibilities
• Coordinating with the onshore team in order to understand the requirements and
change requests.
• Analyzing Functional Specification Document (FSD) and Preparing Detailed
Designed Document (DTD).
• Developing the different CRs on Norkom tool.

• Guitar Center is the largest chain of musical instrument retailers in the world with
315 locations throughout the United States.
• Initially the data was maintained at application level. Different systems had their own
data stores and reporting methodologies using OLTP system. Decision making and
planning for the business at the corporate level based on these reports was not easy
with such a setup. The Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) was built to bring the data
from all the applications to a central repository that would aid in better reporting. The
data from this centralized Data Warehouse provided a single point of source for
accessing and analyzing. EDW provides historical, current, and predictive views of
business operations. The data is used to generate various reports and as a feed to
internal and external - analytical and decision support systems.

Plum. Previously main storage of the Moody’s rating data was in database called CORE
based on Oracle. This project is about to flow of data from the Core database into
Green Plum Database.
