Project completed
I have handled various projects. Some of the key projects which were developed in various business
units in Willis Processing (I) Private Limited are listed and described as below.
1. PERFORMANCE MEASURING TOOL (From Jan 2012 to Mar 2013)
Business unit – NAC (US accounts)
Tool encompasses various performance metrics viz. SLA, TAT, production Quality detail. Most of the
data source is based on downloaded system reports, other databases user provided report/source.
Reports can be downloaded and uploaded with comfort ease using automated build system. Various
checks and validation are in place, hence extra skill set is not required to update the tool. This tool is a
classic example of ETL i.e. Extract, transform and Load.
Role: Senior Developer
Team Size: 2
Skilled used: Advance Excel, MS Access VBA.
Cost- benefits- Widely appreciated MIS tool helps management to gauge various performance
measures of associates. Associate are well appraised about their performance well in advance.
Thereby tool eliminates anomalies during the appraisal. Projects save 2-3 FTE (Managerial level).
Highlight of tool
1. Relieves middle level management from preparing MIS report related to performance.
2. Since the tool is one point source of data it eliminates duplication of work performed by
various management groups.
3. Since data is published on monthly basis, it was of keen interest for all stake holders including
associate.
4. It is classical case of integration of Excel-Access.
2. A/R and AP review system (Aged account receivable and payable due system)
Business unit – NAC (US accounts)
The MS Access based database system helps to list all potential aged receivable and payable due
items for further review. With a complete work flow system, these items are reviewed by associate in
a given time frame. System provides monitoring frame work for associate as well for managerial
group. This ensures timely review of all potential items. System has all the reporting functionalities as
per business requirement and MIS purpose.

3. WORK FLOW SYSTEM
Business unit – US Employee Benefit (From June 2009 – July 2009)
MS Access based work flow and time management tool to enhance productivity, even distribution of
job, standardization and ensure time completion of the tasks. Every task is entered into the system
which is track until it full completion and delivery. Timer based system captures the total time spent of
each task.

Benefit of tool
1. Tracking mechanism for all task/job.
2. Calculation of TAT and downward revision of TAT based on historical data captured by the tool.
3. Business related and MIS reports
4. Sets accountability among associate to complete task with a given time frame.
4. RECONCILIATION AND DISCREPANCY TOOL
Willis is a third largest insurance broking firm. Given wide client and carrier base, it is mandated to
reconcile its books with carrier. At certain times there is disagreement between both parties which
required to be resolved. There wasn’t any system and process set to resolve these items. Previously
there wasn’t an appropriate follow up mechanism as well.
I have been instrumental in revamping the entire system. I have created a MS access based system
which has number of benefits as below.
1. Avoid duplication of work.
2. Proper follow up on discrepancy items.
3. Discrepancy based standard template to escalate issues.
4. Eagle view for management
5. 4-5 FTE saving.
6. Considerable drop in aging discrepancies.
I have been awarded by continuous improvement team for this project.

5. Quality checking tool (Customized tool as per user need)
Business unit: NAC (US accounts)
MS access based tool which sets the minimum and maximum quantity of quality checks to be done.
The tool is made in compliance with all audit requirements.

2. Ensures minimum QC is done, at the same time it avoids over QC.
3. Error rectification is done with stipulated time frame.
6. CASH ON ACCOUNT TRACKING SYSTEM
Business unit: NAC (US accounts)
Tracking system to monitor unapplied cash on account.. The unformatted reports in form of CSV files
are formatted using an automated MACRO. The formatted reports are combined into one excel sheet,
which is uploaded into MS access based system. Tool help with following function.
1. Display all the pending COA unapplied cash per office per associate.
2. Historical records for all the action take on particular COA item(s).
3. Cash clearance rate per office per associates.

7. T&E (Travel and Expense) Analysis
Business unit: FSA
MS access based tool generates region wise summary and details report related to expense for
business travel. Reports which are generated from this system are difficult to produce manually. Given
the volume of data it would take entire FTE work to prepare single report. System generates reports
for almost 100 regions with a standard format. I have been awarded for this project by top
management.

Some of the key projects which were developed in various business units in Willis Processing (I) Private Limited are listed and described as below. 1. PERFORMANCE MEASURING TOOL (From Jan 2012 to Mar 2013) Business unit – NAC (US accounts) Tool encompasses various performance metrics viz. SLA, TAT, production Quality detail. Most of the data source is based on downloaded system reports, other databases user provided report/source. Reports can be downloaded and uploaded with comfort ease using automated build system. Various checks and validation are in place, hence extra skill set is not required to update the tool. This tool is a classic example of ETL i.e. Extract, transform and Load. Role: Senior Developer Team Size: 2 Skilled used: Advance Excel, MS Access VBA. Cost- benefits- Widely appreciated MIS tool helps management to gauge various performance measures of associates. Associate are well appraised about their performance well in advance. Thereby tool eliminates anomalies during the appraisal. Projects save 2-3 FTE (Managerial level). Highlight of tool 1. Given wide client and carrier base, it is mandated to reconcile its books with carrier. At certain times there is disagreement between both parties which required to be resolved. There wasn’t any system and process set to resolve these items. Previously there wasn’t an appropriate follow up mechanism as well. I have been instrumental in revamping the entire system. I have created a MS access based system which has number of benefits as below. 1. Avoid duplication of work. 2. Proper follow up on discrepancy items. 3. Discrepancy based standard template to escalate issues. 4. Eagle view for management 5. 4-5 FTE saving. 6. Considerable drop in aging discrepancies. Ensures minimum QC is done, at the same time it avoids over QC. 3. Error rectification is done with stipulated time frame. 6. CASH ON ACCOUNT TRACKING SYSTEM Business unit: NAC (US accounts) Tracking system to monitor unapplied cash on account.. The unformatted reports in form of CSV files are formatted using an automated MACRO. The formatted reports are combined into one excel sheet, which is uploaded into MS access based system. Tool help with following function. 1. Display all the pending COA unapplied cash per office per associate. 2. Historical records for all the action take on particular COA item(s). 3. T&E (Travel and Expense) Analysis Business unit: FSA MS access based tool generates region wise summary and details report related to expense for business travel. Reports which are generated from this system are difficult to produce manually. Given the volume of data it would take entire FTE work to prepare single report. System generates reports for almost 100 regions with a standard format. I have been awarded for this project by top management.
