Also, because COVID-19 is a virus, distinguish COVID-19 from common viral pneumonia from common viral pneumonia is difficult. In this study, X-ray images of 500, 500, 500, and 500 patients for healthy controls, typical viral pneumonia, bacterial pneumonia and COVID-19, were collected respectively. To our knowledge, this was the first quaternary classification study that also included classical viral pneumonia. To efficiently capture nuances in X-ray images, a new model was created by applying convolution neural network for accurate image classification. Our model outperformed to achieve an overall accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, F1-score, and area under curve (AUC) of 0.98, 0.97, 0.98, 0.97, and 0.99 respectively.

Recognition of Corona virus disease (COVID-19) using deep learning network IJECEIAES
Corona virus disease (COVID-19) has an incredible influence in the last few months. It causes thousands of deaths in round the world. This make a rapid research movement to deal with this new virus. As a computer science, many technical researches have been done to tackle with it by using image processing algorithms. In this work, we introduce a method based on deep learning networks to classify COVID-19 based on x-ray images. Our results are encouraging to rely on to classify the infected people from the normal. We conduct our experiments on recent dataset, Kaggle dataset of COVID-19 X-ray images and using ResNet50 deep learning network with 5 and 10 folds cross validation. The experiments results show that 5 folds gives effective results than 10 folds with accuracy rate 97.28%.

One reliable way of detecting coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is using a chest x-ray image due to its complications in the lung parenchyma. This paper proposes a solution for COVID-19 detection in chest x-ray images based on a convolutional neural network (CNN). This CNN-based solution is developed using a modified InceptionV3 as a backbone architecture. Selfattention layers are inserted to modify the backbone such that the number of trainable parameters is reduced and meaningful areas of COVID-19 in chest x-ray images are focused on a training process. The proposed CNN architecture is then learned to construct a model to classify COVID-19 cases from non-COVID-19 cases. It achieves sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy values of 93%, 96%, and 96%, respectively. The model is also further validated on the so-called other normal and abnormal, which are nonCOVID-19 cases. Cases of other normal contain chest x-ray images of elderly patients with minimal fibrosis and spondylosis of the spine, whereas other abnormal cases contain chest x-ray images of tuberculosis, pneumonia, and pulmonary edema. The proposed solution could correctly classify them as non-COVID-19 with 92% accuracy. This is a practical scenario where nonCOVID-19 cases could cover more than just a normal condition.

Analyzing X-rays and computed tomography-scan (CT scan) images using a convolutional neural network (CNN) method is a very interesting subject, especially after coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. In this paper, a study is made on 423 patients’ CT scan images from Al-Kadhimiya (Madenat Al Emammain Al Kadhmain) hospital in Baghdad, Iraq, to diagnose if they have COVID or not using CNN. The total data being tested has 15000 CT-scan images chosen in a specific way to give a correct diagnosis. The activation function used in this research is the wavelet function, which differs from CNN activation functions. The convolutional wavelet neural network (CWNN) model proposed in this paper is compared with regular convolutional neural network that uses other activation functions (exponential linear unit (ELU), rectified linear unit (ReLU), Swish, Leaky ReLU, Sigmoid), and the result is that utilizing CWNN gave better results for all performance metrics (accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, precision, and F1-score). The results obtained show that the prediction accuracies of CWNN were 99.97%, 99.9%, 99.97%, and 99.04% when using wavelet filters (rational function with quadratic poles (RASP1), (RASP2), and polynomials windowed (POLYWOG1), superposed logistic function (SLOG1)) as activation function, respectively. Using this algorithm can reduce the time required for the radiologist to detect whether a patient has COVID or not with very high accuracy.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is caused a large number of death since has declared as an international pandemic in December 2019, and it is spreading all over the world (more than 200 countries). This situation puts the health organizations in an aberrant demand for urgent needs to develop significant early detection and monitoring smart solutions. Therefore, that new system or solution might be capable to identify COVID-19 quickly and accurately. Nowadays, the science of artificial intelligence (AI), and internet of things (IoT) techniques have an extensive range of applications, it can be initiated a possible solution for early detection and accurate decisions. We believe, combine both of the IoT revolution and machine learning (ML) methods are expected to reshape healthcare treatment strategies to provide smart (diagnosis, treatments, monitoring, and hospitals). One reliable way of detecting coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is using a chest x-ray image due to its complications in the lung parenchyma. This paper proposes a solution for COVID-19 detection in chest x-ray images based on a convolutional neural network (CNN). This CNN-based solution is developed using a modified InceptionV3 as a backbone architecture. Selfattention layers are inserted to modify the backbone such that the number of trainable parameters is reduced and meaningful areas of COVID-19 in chest x-ray images are focused on a training process. The proposed CNN architecture is then learned to construct a model to classify COVID-19 cases from non-COVID-19 cases. It achieves sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy values of 93%, 96%, and 96%, respectively. The model is also further validated on the so-called other normal and abnormal, which are nonCOVID-19 cases. Cases of other normal contain chest x-ray images of elderly patients with minimal fibrosis and spondylosis of the spine, whereas other abnormal cases contain chest x-ray images of tuberculosis, pneumonia, and pulmonary edema. The proposed solution could correctly classify them as non-COVID-19 with 92% accuracy. This is a practical scenario where nonCOVID-19 cases could cover more than just a normal condition.

Analyzing X-rays and computed tomography-scan (CT scan) images using a convolutional neural network (CNN) method is a very interesting subject, especially after coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. In this paper, a study is made on 423 patients’ CT scan images from Al-Kadhimiya (Madenat Al Emammain Al Kadhmain) hospital in Baghdad, Iraq, to diagnose if they have COVID or not using CNN. The total data being tested has 15000 CT-scan images chosen in a specific way to give a correct diagnosis. The activation function used in this research is the wavelet function, which differs from CNN activation functions. The convolutional wavelet neural network (CWNN) model proposed in this paper is compared with regular convolutional neural network that uses other activation functions (exponential linear unit (ELU), rectified linear unit (ReLU), Swish, Leaky ReLU, Sigmoid), and the result is that utilizing CWNN gave better results for all performance metrics (accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, precision, and F1-score). The results obtained show that the prediction accuracies of CWNN were 99.97%, 99.9%, 99.97%, and 99.04% when using wavelet filters (rational function with quadratic poles (RASP1), (RASP2), and polynomials windowed (POLYWOG1), superposed logistic function (SLOG1)) as activation function, respectively. Using this algorithm can reduce the time required for the radiologist to detect whether a patient has COVID or not with very high accuracy.

4. ABSTRACT:
The Corona-virus 2019(COVID-19), which first occurs in Wuhan
city of China in December 2019, spread quickly around the world
and became a plague. Due to the regular increase in cases, the
number of COVID-19 test kits available in the hospital is minimal.
Since an automated detection system is needed as an alternative
diagnosis to prevent COVID-19 from spreading among people. It is
necessary to detect the positive cases as early as possible so as to
prevent the further spread of this disease. Application of
Convolutional neural networks (CNN) techniques coupled with
medical imaging can be helpful for the accurate detection of this
disease. In this project a new model for automated COVID-19
detection using raw CT images is used. We introduced
Convolutional layers and implemented different filtering on each
layer.
5. EXISTING SYSTEM:
In Existing system, they use several types of test like swab
test, nasal aspirate and sputum test. These methods are old
one and it takes more number of processes and takes one or
two days to predict the Covid-19 results. In Emergency
situation, this process are little slow to predict. So we move to
the Proposed System.
6. PROPOSED SYSTEM:
The Covid-19 pandemic has consumed the world, with 192 countries
affected and global cases nearing 150 million. To overcome the
fallback in the existing system we propose a Deep learning based
system to increase the speed and accuracy. We have proposed an
automatic prediction of Covid-19 using a Convolutional neural
networks and CT images. CT is the best tool for the detection of
covid-19.
8. DATA COLLECTION:
Data were drawn from a dataset provided via Kaggle. It
consists of number of CT images like Covid-19 Positive and
Negative CT images. Collected a dataset from Kaggle, which
has not only the Chest CT scans that were Covid-19 affected
but also normal scans. The aim of the dataset was to
investigate various ways of effectively detecting Covid-19
virus infections.
9. CONVOLUTIONAL NEURAL NETWORK:
Convolution neural network is a subset of deep learning neural
network. It is mainly used for image classification and image
analysis. The goal behind CNN is to mimic how human brain
analyzes the image. Convolution neural network is comprised of one
or more Convolutional layers and then followed by one or more
fully connected layers. The CNN consist of input, hidden and output
layer. The input layer is basically consists of arrays of pixels. The
hidden layer is the most important layer as it plays the main role in
image computation. Hidden layer comprises of activation functions
and biases. The output layer helps us to determine the class score.
The benefit of CNN’s is that they are easier to train with providing
high accuracies.
