The proposed solution would use low-energy Bluetooth beacons and a mobile app to more accurately track student attendance, engagement and prevent cheating. It would be personalized, cost-effective and better identify latecomers or early leavers. The team believes there is a large potential market among universities and plans to seek initial funding, develop a prototype, do pilot testing then roll out the solution over 12 months. Revenue would come from annual subscription fees and partnerships.

Content on mobile devices needs to be optimized for the small screens with minimal graphics, concise text, and simple design. Mobile learning allows for repetition and reflection through reminders and refresher content to improve retention. It can be used for various types of on-the-job training including product training, safety training, and compliance training. When implemented successfully, mobile learning has been shown to improve job performance, motivate learners, build a culture of learning, and positively impact business results.
