History
 Android Inc. was founded in Palo Alto at California, in October 2003 by Andy Rubin, Rich
Miner, Nick Sears, and Chris White.
 Rubin described the Android project as having "tremendous potential in developing smarter
mobile devices that are more aware of its owner's location and preferences"
 In Early intentions, the company were about to develop an advanced OS for digital cameras, in
April 2004 but the markets for cameras were not that large enough, so they thought divert the
efforts towards a handset OS which would be a rival for Symbian & windows mobile.
 In July 2005, Google acquired Android Inc. for at least $50 million.
 Its key employees, including Rubin, Miner, Sears, and White, joined Google as part of the
acquisition.
WHAT IS ANDROID?
 Android is a mobile operating System.
 It is based on a modified version of Linux Kernel.
 Open Source Software.
 Designed for Smartphones & Tablets.
 Developed By consortium (group) known as the Open Handset Alliance.
 Sponsored By Google.
 Unveiled In Nov 2007 and commercially released in Sept 2008.

qualities of camera’s installed in it which includes wide angle & portrait lenses.
 As per Survey In Year 2020, more than 1300 brands have launched their Android devices
 Most famous brands in the list are Samsung, Oneplus, Oppo, Vivo, HTC, Sony, Xiaomi,
Huawei, Blackberry, etc.tc.

History
IOS Stands for iPhone operating system
In 2005, when Steve Jobs began planning the iPhone, he knew it would be an epic feat of
engineering & enlargement the iPod.
Steve jobs approached the macintosh & ipod team led by scott forstall and Tony fadell to
develop this OS.
Around the year 2006, Apple Worldwide Developers have developed this operating system and
later released with the release of new iPhone models.
Since its initial release, it has been used as the operating system for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch,
and HomePod.
IOS was later released world wide and in 2008 On March 6, 2008, Apple held a press event,
announcing the iPhone SDK.
The iOS App Store was opened on July 10, 2008 with an initial 500 applications available.

 Especially designed for iPhone, iPad & iPod only.

United States.
• The numbers in Canada are closer to a 50-50
split.
• Apple is aiming to shake up the market in places
like India.
• Upgrade to 5G networking is also a highly
desired feature in certain markets.
• With 5G infrastructure likely seeing an increase
in iPhone 12 series’ shipments.
Difference Between Android & IOS
Android
 The initial release was Sep23, 2008.
 The latest version is Android 11.
 It is an open-source model.
 As compared to iOS, file transfer is easy.
 The browser used in Android is Google Chrome.
 Web mapping used in this is Google maps.
 Available languages are nearly 100.
IOS
 The initial release was July 29, 2007.
 The latest version of iOS is 14.4.2.
 The source model is closed including open source
components.
 File transfer is more difficult in iOS. It can be done
through the iTunes desktop app.
 The browser used in iOS is Safari.
 Web mapping used in this is Apple maps.
 Available languages are nearly 40.
Difference Between Android & IOS
Android
 Google assistant is used as a virtual assistant.
 OS family is Linux.
 Apps available for automatic backup of
photos and videos. Google Photos allows
unlimited backup of photos at a compressed
quality.
IOS
 Siri is used as a virtual assistant.
 OS family is Linux OS X, UNIX.
 Up to 5 GB of photos and videos can be
automatically back up with iCloud, more paid
iCloud storage available via subscription.
Conclusion
The battle between the two technology giants will continue as no one holds an
upper hand over the other. Apple has enjoyed the power for nearly two
decades and also Google’s Android still maintains a strong and loyal base of
consumers who are not afraid to invest their money.
Both the platforms, Android and Apple are secured and stable with number of
unique features. Compatibility, customization, ecosystem and etc. are the key
factors that need to be considered before generating the final results of the
war.

  • 3. History  Android Inc. was founded in Palo Alto at California, in October 2003 by Andy Rubin, Rich Miner, Nick Sears, and Chris White.  Rubin described the Android project as having "tremendous potential in developing smarter mobile devices that are more aware of its owner's location and preferences"  In Early intentions, the company were about to develop an advanced OS for digital cameras, in April 2004 but the markets for cameras were not that large enough, so they thought divert the efforts towards a handset OS which would be a rival for Symbian & windows mobile.  In July 2005, Google acquired Android Inc. for at least $50 million.  Its key employees, including Rubin, Miner, Sears, and White, joined Google as part of the acquisition.

History IOS Stands for iPhone operating system In 2005, when Steve Jobs began planning the iPhone, he knew it would be an epic feat of engineering & enlargement the iPod. Steve jobs approached the macintosh & ipod team led by scott forstall and Tony fadell to develop this OS. Around the year 2006, Apple Worldwide Developers have developed this operating system and later released with the release of new iPhone models. Since its initial release, it has been used as the operating system for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and HomePod. IOS was later released world wide and in 2008 On March 6, 2008, Apple held a press event, announcing the iPhone SDK. The iOS App Store was opened on July 10, 2008 with an initial 500 applications available.

Difference Between Android & IOS Android  The initial release was Sep23, 2008.  The latest version is Android 11.  It is an open-source model.  As compared to iOS, file transfer is easy.  The browser used in Android is Google Chrome.  Web mapping used in this is Google maps.  Available languages are nearly 100. IOS  The initial release was July 29, 2007.  The latest version of iOS is 14.4.2.  The source model is closed including open source components.  File transfer is more difficult in iOS. It can be done through the iTunes desktop app.  The browser used in iOS is Safari.  Web mapping used in this is Apple maps.  Available languages are nearly 40.

Google Photos allows unlimited backup of photos at a compressed quality. IOS  Siri is used as a virtual assistant.  OS family is Linux OS X, UNIX.  Up to 5 GB of photos and videos can be automatically back up with iCloud, more paid iCloud storage available via subscription.

Apple has enjoyed the power for nearly two decades and also Google’s Android still maintains a strong and loyal base of consumers who are not afraid to invest their money. Both the platforms, Android and Apple are secured and stable with number of unique features. Compatibility, customization, ecosystem and etc. are the key factors that need to be considered before generating the final results of the war.
