    What’s your go-to ice cream flavour? Baked Bean? Malt Vinegar? Soy Sauce? 👀 Last week we made the most of the sunny weather and took a Truffle Team trip to the famous Anya Hindmarch Ice Cream Project pop-up in Chelsea. This pop-up serves a range of unexpected - but surprisingly delicious - flavoured ice creams inspired by some of Anya Hindmarsh's favourite pantry foods. This is such an engaging way for cross-brand collaborations to come to life and create a fun and unique experience for customers to share with friends and on their social media platforms. This activation proves how important it is for brands to think outside of the box when promoting or launching a product or even if it’s just to create a buzz around their brand. Some of the flavours we tried included Jaffa Cakes, Bird’s Custard, Kikkoman Soy Sauce, Perello Olives and Penguin - with the soy sauce flavour tasting better than any of us expected! 🍦 #SocialMedia #TruffleSocial #AnyaHindmarsh #TheIceCreamProject #London #LondonEvents #AnyaHindmarshIceCream

    Truffle Foodies or Truffle Social? 🥪🍕🥘🥗🌭 Last week, we attended the Taste of London Festival in the heart of the city in Regent’s Park. While you might think this festival was all about feasting on new and delicious food - and it was 👀 - there was also an array of activities to get involved in, such as cooking classes hosted by Michelin-Star chefs, cocktail masterclasses, live entertainment and demonstrations. We had the pleasure of speaking to some of the stars of the show such as… 🥒 The Pickle House | B Corp™ who we had a lovely catch-up with and found out all about their new Spiced Tomato Mix launch. 🫧 Wilton London | B Corp - did you know their entire business and liquid laundry range are completely carbon neutral as of May 2022?! 🥜 ManiLife | B Corp™ whose founder shared his amazing story about how he started the business - and we love a good storytime - as well as a mini taster of their delicious flavours. 🍪 Doughlicious The London Dough Co. had the best sweet treats! Did you know that all of their flavours are gluten-free and they have a bunch of vegan flavours too?     ICYMI American singer and songwriter Pharrell Williams has shared that he’ll be releasing a biopic in Winter 24, but not just any biopic, a LEGO-animated biopic entitled ‘Piece by Piece.’ It doesn’t stop there, Piece by Piece - from Academy Award® Winning Director Morgan Neville - will also feature brand-new tracks which are teased in the official trailer and the animated movie will feature some BIG names in the music scene such as Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Gwen Stefani, Kendrick Lamar, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Busta Rhymes! While this is all quite exciting and we cannot wait to watch it, we can’t help but wonder whether the LEGO-movie route is going to affect the demographic that will go to watch the exciting release. Perhaps Williams’ 2013 hit ‘Happy,’ which was written specifically for another animated film ‘Despicable Me 2,’ has made his household name known amongst the younger generation. With the UK General Election date now official - and in everyone’s reminders to vote 👀 - TikTok has announced a new, dedicated in-app General Election centre, where the app will provide reliable and authoritative information for users ahead of the poll. A great way to make it easier for TikTok users to digest and keep up with news stories. ➡️ AI strikes again… but with Instagram this time This is very much a ‘read the small-print’ moment, but many users have declined the license where their content can be used by AI via Instagram. While declining this offer is all well and good the license ends when your content is deleted from Instagram, meaning even though you’ve declined Instagram’s very kind offer to use your content for AI purposes your content could be used once it’s deleted from the system. ➡️ YouTube x PRIDE 🏳️🌈 The famous video-hosting website has announced a range of activations for the month of PRIDE, viewers will see the platform showcase and celebrate some of the most influential creators within the broader LGBTQ+ community. ➡️ Instagram 🤝 anti-spam detection Instagram does not recommend one-answer specific call-to-actions such as commenting specific words or emojis as it can be classed as spam. Instead, it’s suggested that creators and brands use open-ended questions. While this advice is quite broad, it’s good to know for those social media marketers out there who love a ‘drop an emoji in the comments’ moment!     Keeping up with Truffle! ✨ Here at Truffle HQ we absolutely love visiting cool exhibitions, fun museums, anything that involves trying delicious food and everything in between. So, when an opportunity arises for the team to get together and visit some of London’s hottest spots, you can always count on a Truffler (or 2) to be there.     Last week, our client, Angostura Limited flew 2 of Team Truffle's members out to Trinidad to join the 200-year celebration at the Global Distributor Forum. The Caribbean sun was out ☀️, many-a-cocktail was enjoyed (of course!) and our team took to the stage to discuss the power of social media and our vision for Angostura’s global strategy. 💪 Shout out to Giselle Elsom and Shaadi Jazaie ! The best part, however, when taking part in these events has to be meeting all of the other inspiring people who contribute to the journey of the brand. Our girls walked (well, flew 🛫) away with so many more ideas and so much energy for the upcoming campaigns - excited to be revealing these over the coming months!
