Scan QR codes quickly with QR Journal

QR Journal allows users with an iSight camera to QR codes, the printed images that link directly to a website. Normally, QR codes work with smartphone cameras, but this app lets a desktop or laptop camera scan one and go straight to the linked URL.

A simple, minimal app

Using QR Journal is a straightforward process. Open up the app and you'll be asked to choose whether you want to scan a printed QR code or read a downloaded one. To scan a printed code, simply hold it in front of the camera; the scanned code and link will appear, allowing you to click through to the site. To scan a downloaded code, drag the file into the app's interface and you'll see the same result pop up.

Does what it says

QR Journal is a small app that serves just one simple function. If you need to scan QR codes frequently and don't want to use your smartphone, it's a valuable tool. Otherwise, you won't have much use for it.
