Developers can access the power of both Windows and Linux at the same time on a Windows machine 🤯 The Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) lets developers install a Linux distribution (such as Ubuntu, openSUSE, Kali, Debian, Arch Linux, etc) and use Linux applications, utilities, and Bash command-line tools directly on Windows, unmodified, without the overhead of a traditional virtual machine or dual boot setup. Interested? Check out our latest video 🎥 Alejandra Thomas chats with Microsoft’s Senior Product Manager Craig A. Loewen at Microsoft Build about Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), how developers can use WSL to install and run various Linux distributions, new WSL features, and much more!  https://lnkd.in/gAkZ-52p

Windows Studio Effects utilizes AI on select Windows devices with compatible Neural Processing Units (NPUs) to apply special effects to the device camera (currently supports front-facing camera) or built-in microphone. Windows Studio Effects work with your device hardware 📷 To ensure that Windows Studio Effects is trustworthy, secure, and built responsibly, it uses models that were extensively evaluated, guided and trained by fairness testing throughout development. Additionally, the data set used by Creative filters include 3,000 hand-drawn portraits of users of various ages, genders, and races, each drawn to adhere to a style guide that was created based on a study of user preferences. For Teleprompter and Creative filters, great consideration was put into the product functionality for people with unique eye characteristics.
