Social Media Manager

Laurel Springs School, a subsidiary of Spring Education Group, a WASC-accredited school, is a pioneer in online private school education since 1991. Laurel Springs provides flexible and personalized learning experiences online for students in kindergarten through 12th grade and beyond.

Laurel Springs is seeking an experienced Social Media Manager who is ready to hit the ground running and elevate the organization’s brand across all social media channels. The right candidate is someone who illustrates proactivity, has a collaborative spirit, and enjoys both creating and managing social media content. On any given day, the Social Media Manager will serve as a campaign strategist, relationship builder, content creator, data analyst, and brand storyteller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social-First Expertise: You will serve as the social media guru for the Laurel Springs Marketing Team. You live and breathe marketing, love to follow the latest trends, know how audience behaviors are evolving, and have a knack for creating campaigns that foster genuine brand-audience relationships.
  • Campaign Development: Conceptualize and implement unique, branded social media campaigns that resonate with our target audiences. Identify the right creative strategy, collaborate closely with other departments, students and parents as necessary, and craft effective content that stands out in the competitive social media landscape.
  • Design, Video, & Copy: Create, manipulate and post social media content daily. Having a background in video editing is a major plus, graphic design skills are desired, and an ability to pick up and implement brand voice across various social channels is necessary.
  • Organic and Paid Social Management: Understand the nuances of social media across various platforms to maximize engagement and campaign performance. Develop creative for both organic and paid social media efforts, and be prepared to pivot or adjust creative strategies quickly in response to campaign performance. Comfortability in working with vendors to manage and analyze paid social performance.
  • Marketing Affiliate Program Management: We are eager to bring someone on board who will develop, implement and manage a new Marketing Affiliate Program that includes ongoing relationships with students and families.
  • Data Analysis: We are a data-driven team! Interpret data proficiently to drive informed decision-making. Work cross-functionally with our paid and organic social teams to collect and analyze all available metrics to ensure our strategies are working and that we’re driving enrollments as a result.
  • Autonomous Social Media Management: Own campaigns from start to finish. Adapt strategies as needed, seek and find missing information when necessary, and navigate challenges effectively. Projects move quickly at Laurel Springs, so it’s important that you are confident in your ability to pivot and switch gears when necessary.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Communicate clearly and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders. Foster trust with students and families, collaborate cross-departmentally, and represent the Laurel Springs brand to your best ability.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful social media campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and culture. Laurel Springs currently utilizes YouTube, X, Meta, Instagram, and Pinterest, with TikTok on the horizon!
  • Exceptional creativity and innovative thinking.
  • Video editing, working knowledge and understanding of graphic design via Canva and/or Adobe, and an ability to revamp branded materials.
  • A knack for aesthetics and a desire to learn more in the graphic design realm.
  • Proactive nature with proven ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creative yet professional.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpreting social media metrics.
  • Passionate about marketing and staying current with industry trends.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with influencers and partners.
  • Experience managing both organic and paid social media efforts.
