Part-Time Social Media and Marketing Coordinator

Based in New York City, the Part-Time Social Media & Marketing Coordinator will report to Manager, Social Content & Community and will help create fun, engaging, & educational social media content surrounding Studs' unique ear piercing and shopping experience, as well as support the Associate Director Marketing leads achieve retail & ecommerce marketing success.

Pay Rate: $20/hr

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media (80%)

  • Help concept, create, and execute TikTok & Instagram Reels content while identifying emerging trends and activating quickly to drive innovation, grow engagement, and increase channel following
  • Support Social Media Manager with content calendar management, owning all day-to-day posting and supporting content ideation and creation
  • Collaborate with Social Media Manager on content shoots - in office or in studio –to create channel-specific content needs that drive engagement and continue to establish Studs as the piercing authority
  • Support Social Media Manager with sourcing new influencers and content creators for piercing appointments, booking and scheduling, managing editing rounds, and final content delivery
  • Assist with drafting content briefs for influencer and content creator partners
  • Conduct continuous social sweep for content reposts, requesting creator permissions to be leveraged on Studs owned channels
  • Support Social Media Manager to provide monthly reporting, learnings and tactics to continue to target goals MoM

Retail & Ecommerce Marketing (20%)

  • Help the Associate Director of Brand Management create, order, and coordinate necessary materials for all new Studs Studio openings and all ongoing retail marketing support to drive Studio visibility and traffic
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of photoshoots, including working with the Merchandising team to create pre-shoot materials, scheduling, liaising with ear models and external photography vendors.
  • Support in post-production, including file organization and dissemination of assets to cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • 1-2+ years of Social Media Experience
  • Bachelor's degree, Marketing or related field preferred
  • Hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 remote)
  • Must be willing to visit local Studs Studios for content capture
  • Must have a strong understanding of the social media space, the social communities, conversations, and trends. TikTok in particular
  • Ability to create engaging content (images and video) that align with brand look and feel, bring new ideas to the team, and thrive in a highly collaborative environment
  • Proficient in iMovie, CapCut or similar tools & techniques needed for designing social-first content
  • Passion for brand-driven growth and for social and content is required
  • A "no task is too small" attitude
  • Proactive with strong communication skills, both written and verbal; cross-functional collaborator
  • Excellent attention to detail and very organized
  • Driven, creative problem solver that consistently acts with integrity and speaks up
  • Owner's mindset, with the ability to approach feedback and problems with a positive attitude
