Position Overview:

The Lead Cinematographer, Storyteller will lead cinematic video production efforts for the team, overseeing all documentary storytelling projects. This role requires energy, passion, and a collaborative spirit, ensuring moments are captured and brought to life through compelling edits across our distribution channels.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Lead Cinematographer for all team-related coverage.
  • Maintain and elevate the visual standard of the video department, including color correction.
  • Expertise in lighting and composing polished sit-down interviews.
  • Primary shooter during Chargers game days, both home and away.
  • Develop and manage camera coverage plans for game days and practices.
  • Lead producer for long and short-form storytelling features.
  • Manage and maintain all departmental video and audio equipment.
  • Assist in developing treatments and storyboards for projects.
  • Proficiency in producing in the field and adapting to unpredictable environments.
  • Ability to manage lighting for all production needs.
  • Create engaging video content across all platforms.
  • Contribute to departmental goals and uphold high-quality production standards.


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in video production with a focus on cinematography.
  • Comprehensive understanding and proficiency across all facets of production.
  • Strong ability to craft compelling stories through video.

  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours.


Estimated Hiring Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000
