JOB PURPOSE

MSC Cruises, the world's third largest cruise line brand, is expanding its eCommerce team in the USA. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Content Strategy, the Content Strategist maintains, improves, and executes the content strategy for msccruisesusa.com. This position is responsible for understanding and communicating our brand and products, as well as driving our merchandising mix, from the category level, down to individual products. This position strives to connect each customer with the products that best meet their needs, by focusing on the shopping experience to maximize conversion rates, revenue and ROI.

This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week in the office in Miami.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Implement and improve content strategy to create compelling and engaging website experience for website visitors at all stages of user journey for maximum conversion.

Leverage analytics tools, such as Contentsquare and Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics , to identify important insights, create success metrics, analyze performance, and make data-driven recommendations on opportunities to improve the user experience.

Regularly manage and update a large quantity of similar content SKUs and interface with product owners of those SKUs to best reflect the product online

Manage the content governance model as well as the editorial and publishing calendar for a portion of the website to ensure content is up to date, relevant, and of value to target audiences.

Analyze content performance and identify CMS design and functionality upgrades to support higher engagement / conversion.

Conduct ongoing site audits across entire user journey to ensure content accuracy, quality, and functional performance.

Work with SEO resources to develop and implement SEO strategy that positively impacts traffic, engagement, lead generation, and other established website KPIs.

Review site content for ADA compliance and support efforts to ensure accessibility.

Independently manage internal / external resources to support unpredictable and dynamic projects with quick turnarounds, on time and within budget.

Coordinate the alignment with our corporate office for content localization.


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing or a relevant subject or 3+ years related experience.

Excellent verbal communication skills with a strong command of the English language

Excellent organizational skills

Strong skills in creating original content that targets a specific audience and meets company objectives.

Expertise using SEO best practices to write creative copy that includes effective keyword placement and best practice for other SEO content .

Knowledge of Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics is a must, Contentsquare is desired.

Website coding literate, especially with how to write, interpret and edit HTML scripts, or batch upload data in CSV format.

Versed in the use of Content Management Systems (Sitecore experience a plus.)

Able to lead and own projects with minimal supervision.
