Assistant Designer

This role will be responsible for assisting the Designer with all duties related to assisting with design, development, and approval of new products of the Design department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Work with Designer to meet all agreed upon dates in the Design Calendar.
• Assist Designer with all aspects of the line development, complete design packs, and assist in the garment technical fit process developing embellishments and trims.
• Assist in set up of all Concept presentations.
• Prepare presentation boards highlighting fabric, flats, and figure sketches. Ensure that boards are up to date with the most current designs.
• Enter all information correctly regarding each style in a timely manner in Style Builder, including connecting each image to its appropriate file.
• Check all body grid reports and line sheets for accuracy.
• Attend all fittings and provide input/feedback as necessary. Keep detailed notes from all fittings.
• Continually update system with any changes made to the garment. Ensure that the system is being used properly.
• Work with operations to identify areas of opportunity to improve the system functionality.
• Research competitive developments in fabric, qualities, trim and models.
• Assist in identifying seasonal fashion direction, merchandise trends and client needs for the area of responsibility.
• Participate in line assortment building and line presentations with the goal of creating a cohesive and exciting collection.
• Work collaboratively with Product Design/Management, Merchandising, Fabric and Color teams, Technical Design, and Vendors.

$66,560.00

Salary Maximum

$67,000.00

Base salary will be determined on various factors, including but not limited to, market data, internal equity, relevant background, and experience for the specified role. GUESS?
