Accounting Manager

A fast-growing furniture company is looking for an Accounting Manager to play a pivotal role in their finance operation and future business development. The role is fully on-site in Livermore, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Present financial reports to the executive team, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and areas for improvement.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgets, providing variance analysis and recommending adjustments as necessary.
• Cost Accounting: Implement and maintain robust cost accounting systems for both manufacturing and retail operations. Monitor inventory levels, cost of goods sold, and production expenses to enhance cost efficiency.
• Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax laws and financial reporting standards. Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and address any audit findings.
• Process Improvement: Continuously assess accounting processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls. Implement best practices to enhance overall financial operations.
• Cash Management: Monitor cash flow and working capital needs, optimizing cash positions and proposing strategies to maximize liquidity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in accounting or CPA qualification is highly desirable.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as an Accounting Manager or similar role, preferably in the manufacturing and retail industries.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin.
• Experience with cost accounting methodologies and inventory management.
• Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities, able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and auditing procedures in CA and the United States.
• Can work in the United States without the need for sponsorship, now and in the future.
