Here's how you can pursue career growth opportunities while prioritizing work-life balance.
The best way to achieve work life balance is to figure out the minimum daily routine you need to be happy. This could mean a minimum amount of time for family, exercise, preparing healthy food, or anything that is important to you. No matter what happens at work, never, ever, compromise on this routine. Say no and do not feel guilty. And if you find yourself only living the minimum routine regularly (or even occasionally) it is time for a bigger change.

Here's how you can explore diverse industries and markets at the start of your Product Marketing career.
Working at a consulting firm focused on product or other marketing discipline at the beginning of your career is a great way to get exposure to many industries and company cultures quickly. After a year or two you'll have a better understanding of your career options and what industry and culture you prefer, and you can network for a job in that niche.

You're navigating changing industry landscapes. How can you adjust your product messaging to stay relevant?
First, decide exactly what you want to test and measure during the next iteration. How do you define success or failure? What do you want to learn? Prioritize to keep the list to 1-3 items if possible. Then, decide how you will monitor progress. Will it be through automated metrics? Qualitative feedback from sales via check ins? Direct customer feedback? After this iteration, decide how often you should test new messaging. Depending on the product this could be daily, monthly, quarterly, or even yearly.

Here's how you can drive revenue growth by effectively collaborating with sales teams.
Set up a regular feedback meeting between marketing and top sales leaders. As a marketing professional, develop a reputation for listening, asking clarifying questions, and most importantly, acting on the feedback. In the next meeting, report back on how you acted on the feedback to close the loop. Also use these opportunities to discuss big picture insights with sales. Marketing can see trends and insights across all customers while sales rightly focuses on the needs of their accounts.
