If you are a game designer, you know how important it is to have a loyal and engaged fan base for your projects. For me, Roblox is the clear audience and 13-17+ players are always on Tiktok and Youtube shorts so it would be clear to engage and make content for that demographic, you never want to make content that YOU think is what they want because guess what. It wont be what they want, it’s gotta be about the audience itself and seeing what makes them tick or interested.
There are many social media platforms available, but you don't need to use them all. Focus on the ones that suit your game design and your audience best. For example, if your game design is visual, you might want to use Instagram, Pinterest, or YouTube. If your game design is narrative, you might want to use Twitter, Medium, or Facebook. If your game design is interactive, you might want to use Twitch, Discord, or Reddit. Each platform has its own strengths, weaknesses, and best practices, so learn how to use them effectively.

Those are the main areas of content creation for any social media platform of the modern age in the gaming industry and is what will get you the most attention. Shorts are just an integral part of advancing the career and way that we see the world it’s insane to think of anyother way. Its either get with the times of today or go into obscurity. Discord is almost essential to keep your community updated, I’ve had a discord of 13k members and they are the lifeline of my game.
The key to building a passionate fan base is to create content that is valuable, relevant, and engaging for your audience. Value can come in many forms, such as entertainment, education, inspiration, or emotion. Your content should showcase your game design, but also your personality, vision, and values. You can use different types of content, such as screenshots, videos, blogs, podcasts, live streams, or polls, to showcase different aspects of your game design and interact with your fans.
To build trust and loyalty with your fans, you need to be consistent and authentic on social media. Consistency means posting regularly, following a schedule, and maintaining a quality standard. Authenticity means being honest, transparent, and respectful with your fans and yourself. Don't pretend to be someone you're not, don't make false promises, and don't spam or annoy your fans. Be yourself and be proud of your game design.
