Dipika Kakar’s mother breaks down in tears as she appreciates Shoaib Ibrahim and his family; says ‘I will forever be grateful to them for loving my daughter and me’

Dipika Kakar’s mother was moved to tears as she expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Shoaib Ibrahim and his family, stating, "His family loves her more than I do." She emotionally remarked that his family loves Dipika more than she does. Shoaib and his mother also praised Dipika, who acknowledged the unwavering support from both mothers in raising Ruhaan.

I wouldn’t be able to sleep with Ruhaan all night. I would wake up because I used to feed him. Then in the morning when he used to wake up, I also used to wake up with him for 4-5 times in between. So mom takes him in the morning for 2 hours. Mom stays with him so that I can have 2 hours of carefree sleep. Otherwise you always have in your mind that the baby is waking up. Even if it is vlogging, or I am going to the parlour or beginning my weightloss journey, my mom has been a big support. Thank you.

My life has changed a lot because of Shoaib and Dipika. I was nothing before this. I am being honest. A wife can do everything when the husband is good. And Shoaib has never made me feel that I'm Dipika’s mother. And I've always said about his family that I didn't give her as much love as his mother did. There was some compulsion that I couldn't give Dipika as much love as she should get.

Dipika has got so much after coming in this house and I have gotten so much that I can’t express. And I swear till my last breath, I will always remember this family.

Shoaib’s mother pacifies Dipika’s mother by wiping off her tears and hugging her. She says, “You have supported her a lot. Even I couldn’t do as much. I stay downstairs and I can’t give that much time to Ruhaan. You have equally handled the baby. Hamara hi bachha hai. Koi bhi khayal rakhe usme kya hai.” Dipika’s mother says, “Aap ne jo meri beti ko diya hai woh koi nahi de sakta.”

“I am very proud of Shoaib. I am very thankful that you are looking after me more than a mother. Whoever visits from their family, all the family members, they love me so much. It feels like they have known me for years. Mujhe mere apnon se itna pyaar nahi mila jitna inhone diya hai. Koi bhi aaye I feel very happy to see them all. I love all of you,” says Dipika’s mother and adds that she wanted to say all these for long time.

“I wanted to do something new with Ruhaan. For example, we haven't given him sugar or salt yet. We haven't given him water for six months. That was new for my mom and Ammi. They would say, ‘How can you not give water to your child? He'll get thirsty.’ But it is that their openness, their understanding that yes the world has moved forward, new things have come, that understanding was very easy for me. I never massaged Ruhaan with oil. My mother only asked me once. But she never complained about that.”

Mummy has seen a lot of struggle in her life… a lot. I mean as long as I have started taking care of her, now, in today's date, she has never been this happy and carefree in her life. I have never seen my mother so happy in my life. So, I am very happy that in this stage of my mother's life, I was able to see that and that is because of Ruhaan.

Dipika chose to embrace motherhood fully giving a break to the acting world and emphasised that she had the privilege to stay at home. She shared, “If I talk from my point of view, I would say that I am this generation mom. I had to do things with my kid in a certain way. My mother-in-law never came and pressurized me, ‘No, we do this and that. You do this only’. This happens in many homes. And it is a challenge for a lot of mothers to convince that I don't want to follow this method. Shoaib and I just had to explain to Ammi once. Even my mother, there’s a difference in how you communicate and accept the newness. If that thing is understood, then the journey of the parent group becomes easier.”

It is not that other mothers don't take care of their children and don't do all the things. The way Dipika for a whole year during pregnancy and mostly after that… because in pregnancy, sometimes you don't understand so much, you don't know. Yes, internal things, complications or problems, hormones change, that happens. But when the baby is delivered, after that, not getting sleep, body changes, hiccups, postpartum, all those things that happen, and after that, I always tell her that it's not like that, that today we have this privilege. Like Dipika always says, ‘I have the privilege of being able to stay at home. I was able to choose.’ There are many women, who don't have any choice. They have to go to work. But after having that privilege, after having such a successful career, after reaching its peak, Dipika decision of not working for 2-3 years, saying she will only take care of Ruhaan, I think I have seen this in very few people today. I used to feel proud of her and I still feel very proud of her. The way she handled Ruhaan without... without putting me under pressure… I think it's a duty of a husband, that we can only do this much that we can support our wife during that period. We can motivate them.
