Ulysse Nardin is the proud Official Timekeeper of the Vendée Globe the renowned solo, non-stop, and unassisted round-the-world sailing race which will start on November 10th, 2024. Today, May 29th, 2024, at 2 PM EST / 8 PM CET, for the last time before the grand departure, the candidates of the Vendée Globe will be competing in a transatlantic race: the New York Vendée. After an exhibition race under the Statue of Liberty, the 30 sailors taking part in the race will leave New York for Les Sables-d'Olonne, in France. As well as being the last qualifying race for the Vendée Globe, it is also the last race in which the skippers log miles. At the end of this race, the line-up for the Vendée Globe will be known! The Diver [X SKELETON OPS] is an avant-garde dive watch crafted like a piece of haute horlogerie in a carbonium case. It features the skeletonised automatic movement UN-372 and showcasing an oversized oscillator and an escapement in silicon. The ultra-modern design is confirmed by the huge skeleton X structure that dominates the dial with hints of kaki, matching the fabric strap, partly made from upcycled fishing nets.
